In the German version of Pokémon Red/Blue, the trainers on Nugget Bridge go "Ich habe alles gegeben. Ich schäme mich nicht" after getting defeated.

This translates to "I gave it my all. I'm not ashamed" and to this day, about 25 years after first playing the game, this is still my mantra in the aftermath of tough situations. Like exams, job interviews or once even after a really bad breakup.

(The text in the English version is "I did my best. I have no regrets" which is also a nice sentiment but doesn't have the same edge, imo.)

That's really interesting. I don't like Pokemon anymore, but I always thought "I did my best. I have no regrets" was iconic in its own way. I think about it when I try and doesn't end well.

Out of all remakes and reboots that have been done to death, I am furious none has been made about the videogame Primal Rage.

For God's sake, it's fucking DINOSAURS VS. GORILLAS. How is that not a marketable videogame!? There's not even a indie videogame ripping the idea off.

I never bought Mark Addy as Robert Baratheon. It isn't the height thing that a lot of fans complain about, it is just that his face is far too friendly. He's got such a friendly, but somehow also sad, face. All his roles have that warmth that no amount of swearing and slapping and yelling and bad writing can compensate for. Maybe I'm just into Mark Addy?

I prefer the prize tasks from earlier seasons, when people made more of an effort to bring in a physical "prize" rather than the concept of a prize, or something that couldn't/doesn't really exist, something like that. Those prizes are funny in moderation, but too many people don't make a real (and hilarious) effort, i.e. Mark Watson, Ed Gamble and the Great Trouser Heist. Later seasons of Taskmaster prize tasks just aren't as funny.
