Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry did sketch comedy together for like 10 years. They had their own show for 4. There is going to be a special about their work together and it sounds like they are going to do some new sketches for it.

Plus, Bowser likes being bad. Peach doesn't think too highly of his menacing actions and at most they're tentative pals in the sidegames, Bowser's not likely to give up his evil ways even for true love and she's not likely to rush into his arms and give him a chance after he's kidnapped her so many times.

I think it's very jarring and amateurish to try it. General rule of thumb is that a fanfic should have the same amount of swearing as the source material. I think some writers do it to be edgy and gritty, but it just comes off as amateurish. That being said, if you're careful and precise with the f-bomb, it can be used for very dramatic effect.
