FUCK YEAH, BLAME SECRET!

A Blame movie would be an interesting film, though I doubt it would be successful. It would have be high on aesthetics, light on plot and even lighter on dialogue. Would be a fascinating challenge to bring to the screen, as mostly a virtual tour of the Megastructure than anything. It's got a strange atmosphere of filth and sterility.

Oh, and it would have to have Dhomochevsky in it.
And use Bowie's "Outside" album and out-takes for the soundtrack.

Huh. On the one hand, I get that the whole concept of blackrom has the potential to be uncomfortable and possibly even triggery for people who have had bad experiences. On the other hand, I'm a little bit confused about you being upset by Snowman/Slick because you identify with Snowman, given that she's always been the one with all of the power in that relationship.

I actually have a friend who, after the Bowie episode, phoned me up to ask who David Bowie was. Cue speechlessness on my part.

I mean, yeah, you're 14 and love teh Japanese culture, but if you live in the Western world and have approached your teenage years without having heard of David fucking Bowie...step back.

Don't worry about that! You know, to be honest, I once thought the same thing. And then I met someone I truly love...and Star Wars brought us together. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, World of Warcraft, One Piece - all these nerdy things, some with negative associations, helped us connect. One of my favorite things to do with him, even now, is watch Star Wars.

Just keep being yourself. You'll find someone who loves you for that.

Loved this film, too. I think you were supposed to kind of question the nature of their relationship. Laser's own mothers questioned the nature of his relationship with Clay, and while that was supposed to be ironic and funny, I was kind of curious just like they were. Plus, it just played into the whole theme of human sexuality being fluid and confusing.
