O.M.F.G. You have the EXACT same problem as Me.. i was mistaken for a guy as Light from Death Note... [enough that the girl actually tried and get physical with me, even] and now I think I should only cosplay men now even though I am really a girl.

Next, I kinda feel bad now because there is a secret with a bit of my RPing in it and I'm nervous people might judge it.

12. FHDSFJDS THANK YOU IT'S SO TRUE. When i read Kubo Tite's comment that he actually hated his own series, it saddened me SO much. Yeah okay, he went through a lot at the time, but ffs, Zombie Powder had SO much potential. The characters were so lovely and brilliant adn gdfhsjh he really REALLY disappointed me -___-
It's just..it was SUCH a good manga, it was inhumane for him to give it such a shit ending DDDD:

1. I second this! The way I see it, if people think you look like a boy when you're cosplaying one, doesn't that just mean you've pulled it off correctly? And like she said, I too have seen several people who can look like a guy OR a pretty girl.

8. I don't do a lot of iconing, and what I do is for myself, but yeah I try to avoid using fanart. There have been one or two pics I've used that I wasn't sure were fanart or not - Lodoss has a bajillion different artists do work on it, for example - but yeah, if I can't identify whether it is official art or fanart I try to avoid it.

Oh, and for 1. Check out PikminLink. Fandom has spent many an hour trying to ascertain her gender (consensus seems to be she's a chick), but she can pull off male characters so well you could easily mistake her for a guy. But she looks androgynous, almost like the bishounen stereotype, not overly masculine. That might have been what people thought of you.

8. I think it's unfair to say they wouldn't listen. Some may not, true-- but the person who made those icons is actually a friend of mine, and knowing her, she'd probably listen 100% and put credit up if asked to. No, I'm not defending just her, I think it's narrow minded to assume all those who use fanart in icons won't listen to a word others say about giving proper credit.

When I RP, I am not too keen on novelizations. I like stuff that has enough discription to whet the appetite but ultimately the main thing is the character's interaction. Besides my head always has a preconcieved image of what the stage is. Though there were a few times I tried to do novel lengh RPs.. I just grew very bored very carefully damn ADD

8. Adding a new background and adding a million effects to a piece is really the same thing. Why don't you ask them to provide links? (I'd really like to know where those icons came from too; the pictures in them are really nice and I'd like to see the whole thing instead of a 100x100 filtered crop.)

... Am I the only person here who feels totally awesome when I find art stolen from me? I'd love to see my fanart being cropped for icons and distributed even if it's without my permission. x(
