9. I used to joke that fandom drove me to drink ... it didn't since I already did. But sometimes it would get under my skin so badly that I would. Granted, there's a difference between social drinking and being an alcoholic which the latter seems to be the point the OP was trying to make.

As for 11. They look sick, people. Why would anyone want to look like that?

10) I get upset when he wins because he always wins. What happened to character development? The "striving to be the best" theme that sports manga series has going on? For Echizen, there is no such thing because he kept winning from the beginning. The people who were able to defeat him I can count with one hand... And he defeats those people later on anyway. It's hard to sympathize with this character. Isn't losing = learning?

Yes! Yes! YES!!! I used to read their stuff and say, 'huh. interesting... and, um, by interesting i mean... crap.'
And it's not even that they don't know canon- they blatantly sugar-coat characters that were never, never, never sugary to start with. I think in one of their fics, for some random reason more overwrought sex designed to call in the idiots that dismiss FF7 canon facts for AC, Sephiroth and Aeris met pre-Nibelheim, and she hugged him totally randomly.
And he was like, 'oh, hullo'.
Not even a normal person would react like that. Sephiroth-who-would-be-Crazy-with-a-capital-C? NO.
They just... they just... fail. God. I wish I were a teacher so I could stamp their LJ with a big red F!
