Word. Hermione was book-smart, Ron was perceptive and witty, and they both shared a logical, strategic intelligence: Ron with chess; Hermione with the potions thing at the end of PS and her various logical deductions throughout the series (I loved the scene in the DH movie where Harry says brilliant and she's like "oh, not really, I'm just very logical, which allows me too..." I know it was probably a product of the moviemaker's Hermione-worship, but it was cute and something Hermione would say.

I'm also from eastern european country and I don't mind RPing or ficcing some very tragic stuff that happened here. But I'd NEVER think of throwing things like that in people's faces. Everyone copes in different way and everyone has the right to find some things offensive or personally hurtful to them, we should all fucking respect that.
