I was thinking leonidaslion, but admittedly I'm pretty out of touch with who's writing what in spn fandom right now.

I understand and sympathize. Many fandoms have averaged younger fans because material is so much easier and cheaper to access/obtain than before. Those fans who are in their mid-30's and older started off in far different circumstances. There were more older fans then (in comparison) because it used to cost more to get a hold of materials or even to share--anyone remember sending video-tapes through the mail b/c the internet didn't have the speed or capacity to distribute larger files?

The ratio is even further skewed towards younger fans because as jobs and family obligations take up more time, a lot of older folks put fandom on the back-burner. That hasn't changed, but because so many younger fans have come into all kinds of fandoms, the ratio of older/younger fans is much different than it was in the 1990's, or 80's or 70's.

Not saying that the influx of younger fans (and all the opportunities that faster, cheaper internet has allowed) is a bad thing! By no means! But it has changed fandom a great deal.

There may be "No right age for fandom", but it is awkward when you go to a convention and are constantly mistaken for someone's mom. :-P

Being raped or abused doesn't give you a free pass to be an asshole to everyone else. And I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT merely saying "well, I think this kink is disgusting and it offends me," THAT'S OKAY. What I am talking about, and it happens quite frequently, especially on here, is someone getting personally offended by something and deciding to get on their moral high horse and tell everyone who has a certain kink that they are all horrible people who should all be ashamed of themselves. That's not okay, even if the person was a victim of rape or abuse.

"Do you know," Shametroll said, setting the MacBook down gently, hand running over the smooth aluminum contours of its closed lid, "why it is I keep hounding you, Kinkanon-chan~?" Her perfect white teeth flashed in a shark's grin.

Kinkanon, bound in the chair before her, said nothing; how could she, with the angry red ballgag cutting off her words? But her narrowed eyes and defiant struggle against the restraints were all that the other woman needed to see. Shametroll licked her lips. This was going to be fun.

"I used to think it was a simple matter of what was okay to get off to," Shametroll said huskily. A slender finger slid under the laptop's magnetic catch, began to languorously open its lid. Slowly, ever so slowly, she could see the fear spread in time with her motion, just as it was born on Kinkanon's face. "I thought I was doing this in the name of...social justice, I suppose."

Kinkanon moaned something beneath the gag, and Shametroll felt a twinge between her legs. Absently, her tongue traveled over her lips, her eyes greedily taking in Kinkanon's naked form, the restraint points at her wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles already raw from her struggle against the leather straps. The laptop was completely open, but the screen remained dark--asleep.

"I thought I should make you understand how wrong it was to feel arousal from something that might've really hurt someone," Shametroll breathed, panting slightly. One hand slid over the top of the keyboard, tapped the power button. The other slipped beneath the hem of Shametroll's skirt.

The screen washed blue, and rivulets of sweat ran down Kinkanon's body, her eyes going wide.

Photoshop sat open.

"I kept telling myself--!" Shametroll gasped, trailing a finger over the wetness of her crotch, "th-that it was all about doing good, Kink-chan~. That I was a good person. But...I'm not...See?"

Her free hand slid to the grackles, enlarged the picture. A sound of horror, anger, and violation came from Kinkanon's throat. She writhed; shook the chair in her fury. Shametroll chuckled.

The thing in the Photoshop window was a secret.

Worse; it was a wankbait secret. About Kinkanon. About her kinks. About how awful they were. Judgment on cruel judgment--and yet, nothing untrue!
It was a beautifully made shitstorm, just sitting there, ready to be unleashed. It would show up on more than F!S; wank_report, sf_drama, maybe even Something Awful or the Penny Arcade Forums. Kinkanon's eyes glimmered with tears, and her whole body shone with her sweat.

Shametroll, by contrast, was flushed, brilliant, fulgent in arousal. She pushed her panties away, slid a single finger deep inside herself, enough to make her whimper both from the hurried penetration and the level of sensation she was feeling. Shaking, her other hand opened a browser window. The Secrets Submission Post was waiting. Tinypic already had a URL up.

"Bease," Kinkanon begged her from behind the gag, her whole body shaking; fear had won over rage. Her eyes were china saucers. "Don't--beeease." A tear ran over her cheek.

"You don't understand," Shametroll gasped, her head leaning over so her lips almost touched her prisoner's ear, hot breath making Kink whine and sob. "I'm like you, honey. It's just...My kink is humiliation. A-a-aaand..." --another finger joined her first, began to move--"I...I need your fill."

I'm really starting to think that the whole "kink shaming" phenomenon is just a big excuse for people to do/say/write wildly offensive things.

Take all the stuff that gets labeled in fandom as "kink," and that therefore no one is allowed to criticize, stick it in a TV show, movie, or published book, and how do people in fandom react to it? "Holy shit, that's terrible! Misogyny! Racism! Transphobia! Homophobia! Ableism! Ageism! WTF!" But we must accept and tolerate all of these things if they appear in a PWP. Why?

Why is all of this okay as long as it's labeled as "kink?" What if the author actually sees nothing wrong with abuse and rape in real life, and just uses the "no kink is wrong or off-limits" idea as a screen?

He said one sentence and did some fighting in the background - and you cry for him? How do you feel for a character that isn't a character at all but just a giant requisite? I'm not trying to mock you, I just can't understand.

To be fair, I haven't read the comics. Maybe they give him more character development there. Still, in the movies he's just like "I am a guy who loves his gun and now look at my GMC logo" and I can't take that seriously.

Yeah, but no matter how much they changed about singular characters or events, they hardly would have changed something as fundamental as Cromwell's death. There was no way he would NOT be killed on the show, just like there was no way they could NOT have killed Anne Boleyn. So that hardly counts as a spoiler.

Then again, we are talking about the show that managed to ignore Cranmer's existence after season 2, so I'm not going to argue that its take on history is rather creative.

Why have you ignored every response of hers that is actually reasonable? Are you incapable of having reasonable discussions with others? Is it boring for you if you can't find a good reason to insult someone?
