I actually hate Menma. I just wanted to strangle her in the first half of the episode until they revealed that she was, you know, dead.

She's gotten a bit better, but I still really can't stand her.

It really just makes me sad. Not on a baseball level. Just... sad.

Good to see another Giants fan on here, I guess. Wasn't aware there was a big fandom (outside of McC, which I guess does produce slash and fanart, so). But yeah. It's just depressing as hell. There's no reason to feel guilty, but I can understand why you would.

Hmm...while this is cute, the truth is you can't wait around for someone to 'pull you out of your shell', for many reasons. That this is putting a lot of pressure on someone else to do something FOR you and essentially putting them up on a pedestal - eventually they will fail in some way and fall off the pedestal HARD.

But the biggest thing is, as romantic as the trope of 'he/she knew without me even having to say something' IS, it's unrealistic to expect in everyday people. If you have a partner, you HAVE to communicate with them - you can't expect them to read your mind. Many relationships have ended because of this misconception that if your partner 'loves' you'll they'll just know...FOR you. But your partners aren't pyschic, and having the idea they should just know and pre-meditate without you having to express yourself is really just a vivid fantasy to support why YOU shouldn't have to come out of your shell or make any effort. It's pinning all the effort on other people. It's unfair and frankly unrealistic to expect.

Basically, next time you find yourself in a relationship and find yourself pissed that your partner didn't just KNOW something about your inherently, stop yourself, punch yourself mentally for expecting them to be superhuman, and then TALK with your partner about your needs and wants. Penalizing people for shit they don't or can't know because you're keeping it bottled up is never right.
