In addition to the comments about Ellen and Jo and so on, with which I entirely agree, I'd like to put in a word for Ruby, who kicked demon ass, was awesome and, although she did become a sort of love interest, did so for her own ends, which I wouldn't describe as 'typical'. Wanting to see Buffy on Supernatural is absolutely fine, but I think it's a bit of a shame you had to disparage all the existing female characters when you expressed that wish.

They can't focus together properly because they point in slightly different directions (possibly some derivative of a lazy eye - it was diagnosed when I was twelve, they told me they couldn't do anything about it until I was eighteen, and then they didn't). Both eyes work individually, but I can't make them work together. There would probably be an optimal distance where I can see 3D, but that's never going to be found in a cinema.

Because it's been an issue for so long, I've always tended to heavily favour one eye (usually the right) to the extent where I simply can't use both any more (my depth perception is legendarily awful); and since the entire point of 3D is the brain reinterpreting the slightly different images it gets from each eye... yeah. (The vision in both eyes is also deteriorating fast anyway, but that's a separate issue related to a severe bout of iritis about seven years ago. I really need to get to an optician...)

Also, the 3DS can fuck off.

Damn, a lot of comments!

I agree that a lot of movies don't have to be in 3D, and that it sucks when you can only watch movies in 3D. People should be able to watch movies however they want to, obviously. That said, I like 3D, but not in every movie. Thor and Pirates 4 could have done without it, but movies like Shrek 4 or Tron looks great in 3D.

As for my friend, I went to a 3D movie with her boyfriend (but not her), and later when I asked her if she wanted to see one, she said she didn't want to because her boyfriend said 3D wasn't any good. And now it has turned into "3D sucks, it gives me a headache". It's not just that she doesn't want to watch them (I mean, that I don't really care about), it's that she goes out of her way to bash 3D movies all the time.
