Also, like everyone else said, starving yourself is actually not an effective weight loss plan, because it fucks your metabolism super bad. Maybe you could spend an hour a day you usually use to play WoW and either cook something tasty and healthy, or go to the gym.

Yeah, based on my limited contact with the fandom (mostly through fic) that seems to be the reason. What I especially enjoy is the fact that there's so many RPF AUs, like it's even one more step away from both incest and RPF, which is still kind of badly seen.

Also run a meme and the "follow a few simple rules" thing makes me shake my head. A lot. But there's no wank at my meme, so I still feel like I won the meme lottery in comparison to what some mods have to deal with.

I thought it showed character, Draco got knocked down all the freakin' time and he got straight back up again. Just not prepared to quit...sounds like a Gryffindor trait rather than anything else (well according to the hat anyway, according to what JK wrote getting knocked down then going and sulking until you absolutely must do something is the real Gryffindor trait). Rather endearing its own way.

As long as you get off WoW to go to work/school/the store, I think you're fine. I need distractions so I don't just sit around and eat too. I find when I score baseball games, I don't want to snack because both hands are busy, that's helped me lose weight. I hope that's what you mean.

Nuh-uh. Gryf's house trait was making snide bitchy comments about people they didn't like and trying to humiliate them in pranks or in groups, or in groups of prankers, rather than saying anything to their face. Just like harry, Ron, Harry's Dad, Harry's Dad's friends, Ron's brother's, Ron's dad, Dumbledore. Jeez the list of Gryf dicks goes on.

But complete to whom? The fans or the author? Because I'm much more concerned with what the author thinks is complete than what the fic-writing internet masses think. Because that's the beauty of fanfic -- you can ignore the canon things that you want to. If people choose not to -- or if they use that as a way to couch what they really think (i.e.: I did not like that this happened, but instead of saying "I did not like that at all" I'm going to whine about how it affects my ~*abiilty*~ to write fanfiction"), I'm going to choose to not have an iota of sympathy for them.
