9. I'm sad when people use fanart icons mostly because MOST PEOPLE NEVER REMEMBER THE SOURCE. :'( Taunting me with 100x100 goodness; fanart icons end up being like mini advertisements for me. I wish more iconists (if they use fanart) would remember the source so they could link me to the delicious fanart sites they found it off of. *u*d

26) I've actually been wanting to do that after the stuff that's come out this month, and I might when I get the time. XD Even though you'll be skipping a lot of Destiny if you're just looking for Yzak and Dearka. XD (ALTHOUGH if you have not seen that new Edge manga with them that takes place during Destiny you totally should eeeh!)

But in general, I do that too when I feel like doing something fandomy and indulging like that. XD So you are not alone!

6. I know how that goes, I listen to a lot of music from bands with similarly questionable lyrics. So awesome and descriptive, but definitely WTF-worthy on some level, and people will possibly be weirded out. Do it anyway, for yourself.

7. Pairings are all well and good, but people pushing their pairings on other people annoy me.

1. Yeah, I kind of hate that fandom, but love the show. I'm almost afraid to do art for it, but a lot of the fandom has died down.

25. Well the people in them seem to have a lot of fun in them. Though if it's that you don't dig the style of humor, then it's a little understandable. I feel bad for the members though 'cause they get a lot of crap already for just being in an RP. Which is, you know... just for fun... and distraction.

CFUD is just too big to keep up with, most of the time, otherwise I'd be interested. Island people are more elitist than CFUD ever was... at least CFUD members don't openly mock other players and/or applications.

Despite the knee-jerk defensive reactions from those in the RP, there are cliques and in-jokes and malicious sniping directed at those who just don't seem to "fit in."

It's the same for any large community, really. It's not just CFUD or Island. It's just how things are. The more people are in a community, the less likely it is that everyone's going to like each other, and then drama sets in.

I don't deny that it happens (and I know I've done my fair share of it.) But I wish people would stop acting like it's exclusive to CFUD/Island.

24. I feel the same, in a way. When people start talking about all these Naruto and Bleach characters (I use these as examples because they're the two most popular animes at the moment) I get left behind and confused since I don't happen to like either. But really, it doesn't bother me. Though I stay away from Kingdom Hearts-based RPs for a good reason now.

9. Ah. I always thought it was less a case of OMG MORALS and more the fact that some japanese fanartists can and have shut down their sites on account of people constantly jacking their art for icons/layouts/whatever without permission. This goes especially for the Kingdom Hearts art, as the Japanese branch of Disney is very trigger happy about copy-right issues, and therefore most artists who do KH art keep their stuff under passworded lock and key anyway to keep from being shut down+threatened with legal action. They'll close at the drop of a hat if they discover their stuff's being distributed around without their control. It just makes things a little less fun for everyone else who wanted to see more of the pretty art when an artist decides to take everything down because someone was parading their art around on LJ without their permission.

But for me, personally? I just hate it when someone has an icon of some gorgeous fanart and I can't track the artist down to see more of it. DAMN YOU, GORGEOUS UNCREDITED ICONS, FOR DENYING MY FANART SLUTTING WAYS.
