I am a tad confused...I see no albinos in this picture. Admittedly, I have no clue about the source, so maybe "albino" means something different?

The characters are actually all vat grown, with eyes impossible to produce in the normal human's formation of a cornea.

As far as raceless goes, that's kinda legit actually.

I didn't know that was a thing that happened, but I agree, not everyone can make good drawings naturally.

Yours is cute, though.

I loved the song, but I can see why someone wouldn't. To each his/her own, I suppose.

I drew one rare pairing from a series for almost 8 years straight (icon completely related), with very few deviations from them. But about 3 years ago, the ideas suddenly...stopped. I was horrified. I still love them to bits, but I just have nothing to contribute anymore.

But after some time drifting through fandoms, I've found a new pairing muse in a totally different fandom, and the ideas are pouring in again. I have less time to devote to fandom, but I have ideas waiting for me when I do.

Running out of ideas can be scary, OP. But like everything else is life, fandom interest fades and changes over time. Honor your roots, expand your horizons, and you'll find a new muse somewhere. <3

:) Usually I just make snarky comments on awful secrets, but this one speaks to me. Jim Henson is one of my idols - that doesn't have to be a secret!* He was an artist, he was passionate about his work and he brought so many people joy - myself included. I'm in my 20s and just watching him talk about his work makes me smile.

*Yes I know it's ironic because I'm anonymous, but I don't have an LJ account :P

[identity profile] omorka.livejournal.com 2012-01-26 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
How dare you suggest that Jim Henson wasn't a spiritual leader? How could anyone who touched so many people be anything else?

Seriously, Fraggle Rock = better moral code than any scripture I've yet encountered.

I love when I'm reading fanfiction and come across and new word. I can google it right then and there and it helps me remember more than if I were to come across it in conversation or a book where I only had context clues.

I don't see any of that as pathetic but if you don't want people knowing just say you read a lot.

[identity profile] clau019.livejournal.com 2012-01-26 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't like the mashup either, precisely because I love "Someone like you".

I did like I Will Survive/Survivor.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-26 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ayuh, I was coming in here to say the same thing. Ugh...

[identity profile] demishock.livejournal.com 2012-01-26 01:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and sometimes Glee's gotten me to like their takes on songs I otherwise didn't care for previously, but I guess for me Adele's stuff is just beyond saving. XD;

*applauds*

Much agreement here! Sure, I joke about some of my issues, but only to play it off when friends look weird at me for pressing the elevator button a specific number of times. I would love to not have to deal with these compulsions, and it annoys me when people claim certain things when they don't have to deal with the real problems that come with it.

For instance: No, OCD does not mean you have to have everything 'perfect'. It manifests in different ways and rather than it being a preference, it is a honest to god COMPULSION. Autism doesn't mean you are socially awkward, it manifests in some different ways but a big factor is not being able to read basic human cues! And so on and so forth.

I just wish people would at least see and talk to a psychologist if they think they really suffer from these issues. Because lets face it, if you are actually afflicted by them it is a good to see one in order to help deal with them. Plus, then you can get confirmation that you have it... discover other issues that you might have, or that you might not suffer from something like you think you do!

OP here. I say something against Naya and suddenly people will call me racist? That's weird. Especially because I'm latin lol.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-26 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
Very young. A lot of people I know started getting wrinkles from like, age 21 and up. Good luck to this anon.

One of the horrible things (or hilarious things, depending on your point of view) of learning another language, particularly if you are training yourself to think in that language, is that vocab can bleed into your daily conversations. My friends found it hilarious when I was learning French and Czech because halfway through sentences I'd suddenly switch languages without realising (I think the funniest time was when I accidentally started off in Czech before finishing in French, only hitting English mid-sentence). If it is a socially acceptable language it is fine, but if it is in a language its socially acceptable to mock, like Japanese (and Spanish, when I was young, learning Spanish was seen as mockable) starting in English and accidentally switching vocab is a fast ticket to being abused.

Its sad people trying to learn, even if it is sometimes in a clumsy and piecemeal fashion, another language are made fun of. I wonder how many people were turned off languages because of this.

People still watch Glee?

[identity profile] zombieroadtrip.livejournal.com 2012-01-26 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
that's the thing you focus on with that abundance of weirdface?

(Anonymous) 2012-01-26 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
Ok, but nobody is psychic, we can't just stop asking people basic questions because they might want to turn you down but not actually do it because they would feel rude.

I'm all for being considerate of people's feelings, but there's a freaking limit to how considerate you can be without actually being a mind-reader.

(Anonymous) 2012-01-26 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
is this from "bridesmaids?" if so I thought the EXACT same thing.

[identity profile] kindlycoyote.livejournal.com 2012-01-26 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Let's just say that when I say 'my family has issues', it is veeerrrry true. Though my grandmother has gotten really nice in recent years thanks to some situations, which has freaked my mom and most of her sisters out. Every time my mom gets off the phone with my grandmother now, she looks a little shell-shocked!

:)

+ a million XD

[identity profile] miss-makiba.livejournal.com 2012-01-26 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
I have the same thing, I believe, except my vocabulary doesn't bother my friends (I have a lot of linguistics/English major friends) and it mainly just helps me win at scrabble. :)

[identity profile] dethtoll.livejournal.com 2012-01-26 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
There's nothing wrong with learning ASL, but I must warn you that you'll have to get involved in deaf culture for the education to be effective, and it... basically gets less and less pleasant the more you dig.

And that's seriously the nicest thing I've been able to say about deaf culture in years.

Can Vanille come too?
