Hi. Whenever I try to post a secret I get told access denied when I go to the secret submissions post. Is this unusual behavior or have I been banned? I almost always post anonymously.

Delicious is shutting down. It was announced/leaked on 12/16/2010. No one knows the official shut down date. Many kink memes in fandoms have delicious bookmark sites to keep track of fills and prompts. I've been sending this around. You can edit as you wish.



Find the kink memes and PM the mods. Let them know of this situation if you haven't. I've PMed 3 of seperate comms and they are in the process of backing up. All they have to do is export (https://secure.delicious.com/settings/bookmarks/export) and then import to their desktop just to be safe and another bookmarking social network. Hey, I'm having trouble submitting a secret. The 'post' option isn't clickable on the comm's user info page, no matter if I'm signed in to my real journal or a sock (both of which watch F!S, and 'modify watch' is still an available option). I've had no trouble submitting secrets from these journals before, so I don't know what is up.

I noticed someone used a banner I made as a base for their secret (without my permission, of course). Is it allowed?

They're allowed to do so, yeah, but you're also allowed to say that the banner's yours and have the secret taken down, if you don't want it your banner up there - like if someone used fanart without permission and the original artist asked for it to be taken down, I would!

If it's the exact same text/image, it'll probably get stuck in repeats because I/people will remember having seen it before - but just change it up some and sure why not

How can I be sure the submission link I'm using is still valid?

Repeats # 3 and 4 (http://fandomsecrets.livejournal.com/672346.html#cutid1) are my secrets, but I never saw them posted before (and I read every secret post every day). Why are they among the repeats?

That's because the first day it could have been posted is today, June 18th, like it said on the submissions post that you submitted it to. It will be up sometime this week.

I just realized that one of the secrets I posted last week wasn't posted. Maybe I missed it? I didn't see it in any of the not posted list. It was the one about people who identify too strongly with Hogwarts houses.

Sure you posted it the week before this, and not sometime this week? I don't remember seeing anything like that - though I might have accidentally deleted it. Post for the upcoming week is still open, repost it to make sure, anyway? Worst case scenario it's just posted twice

It's a direct response to another secret, or a direct response to a trend of secrets, etc - basically they could have just commented to the secret(s) in question with it, but didn't.

I submitted http://i52.tinypic.com/2116kpd.png over two weeks ago I believe. I've been waiting for it but haven't seen it yet, and figured it might have been lost or something seeing as this most recent batch only had 20 something secrets instead of the usual 30 something. could you post it soon? I know you can't really reply to this without unscreening and spoiling people of my secret so that's okay

I haven't seen that secret at all yet - it might be LJ eating comments, I don't hold back secrets on purpose unless they're obvious spammy trolls (which yours isn't)

Could be in the batch for this week still, or might have gotten lost. I'll post it today if it isn't in the batch for this week

I don't want to link to this here in case people haven't seen it yet, but in the comments to the secrets post that outed the Youmacon rapist, someone mentioned the victim's name and her mom's first name. Another anon then replied with the victim's LJ name. This is really disturbing and should be deleted, IMO.

I would be happy to de-anon and PM you the link if that helps.

I submitted a secret that should have posted this week. It was the one about history and Carmen Sandiego. I've checked every post this week as well as all the ones at the bottoms of posts that didn't get posted, but it wasn't there.

LJ might have eaten it, though. Post it to the current one and it'll cycle in next week?

For some reason, whenever I try to go to page 2 of the comments, I'm taken back above the cut. Then when I try to see the rest of the secrets, I'm taken back to page 1. Any idea why this is happening? This is the first time it's done this.

Would it be possible to put the spoilery secrets behind lj's new spoiler code, so people wouldn't risk being spoiled while scrolling past? The code still works inside a cut.

When did the most recent secret post go up? I submitted recently and I'm not sure if I missed seeing it, if it got skipped, or if it's just in line to be posted after the DW move.

If you submitted the secret sometime this week, it'll be up next week somewhere between Saturday-Friday! The last subs post went up on May 26.
