I can see Hiddleston as Crowley, but BC as Aziraphale? I almost wonder if these people have read the book at all. Aside from the physical describtion, which just doesn't fit at all, I don't see it personality wise either. Maybe I am biased because I only ever saw Sherlock, but don't really see BC as an angelic type.

I fucking love Good Omens but I would genuinely not feel inclined to watch any version where those two are Aziraphale and Crowley. I could tolerate one of them but oh my god, the internet's response would just be unbearable. I'm still hoping that they go for unknowns.

I don't think his age was ever really given and he had very little physical description (his hands are described as well manicured and plump though. And I thiiiiiink it was mentioned that he was a bit sensitive about his weight?)

I sort of wish it was possible to have two versions of a GO adaptation: one with the above casting to throw into the lion's den of tumblr as a placating piece of highly slashable steak, and one made thoughtfully with less transparently pandering casting (Sam West as Aziraphale? Yes PLEASE).

And while we're all anon here, let's be honest: I would watch the fuck out of both of them.

I would rather two talented but relatively unknown actors, so they'd get their chance to prove themselves and get famous, and also so the focus would be more on the story and new actors instead of "OMG OMG SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" heedless of whether they were telling the story of Good Omens or reading the fucking phone book.

And I say this as a big fan of these actors. They're fun and talented and great and attractive ... but I don't want them overshadowing the Pratchett and Gaiman team up.

does anyone know the passage where it is indicated that az is chubby (I know his hands are mentioned to be a bit plump, but this doesn't necessarily mean his body is. My sister is pretty skinny and has plump hands for example. My hands are fairly bony and I'm overweight)? It isn't just fanon that he's on the chubby side, is it?

Whenever I see people bitching about this graphic, this crosses my mind: WHY does everyone take it so seriously? If you don't like it, fine, but fancasting is supposed to be fun. The haters act like this is studying for the SAT or something.

That said, I think this would be awesome and fun. I'm going to hell. At least we'll have the tunes/composers.
