I hear you. One that I follow isn't the worst SJW ever, but one pretty much is and at least once I've seen people step in and tell her to stop speaking for them.

I also got to where I was afraid to not reblog stuff from them. (Unless I honestly disagreed with it.) Then I realized that it's not like reblogging opinions is such a help to the world, so now my tumblr is more fandom and jokes and much less "social justice" and I'm much happier.

Yeah, I'm Chinese and this really pisses me off.

A while ago somebody was complaining on tumblr about some white celeb was wearing a qipao and how it wrong it is and what-not. And I peeped up saying that I, as a Chinese girl, didn't care if you're Chinese, white or black or any other race and wear qipao (besides, Western people have been wearing qipaos for a good few decades, I thought). Then I got this nasty response about how I loved the white man I was a self-hating race traitor and all that jazz.

I generally agree with you OP, though I don't think it's inherently *bad* for anyone [regardless of race/creed/orientation/gender/etc] to speak up if someone is using terms that are generally considered offensive. The SJWs do take it too far, and they are as offensive as people who are saying the things that they lecture them over as often as not.

I've met some people who think along the same lines as those people IRL. (College, yano?) I generally try and let them know if I see them reacting that I don't need anyone else to tell someone off for saying 'fag' because I can do it myself.

Then there's the people that claim I'm 'straight-acting' and 'ashamed of my sexuality' because I don't act like a gay stereotype. So to bigots I'm a fag and to some SJW and other gay people I'm 'straight-acting.' *sigh* Can't win.

I'm not white, and I wouldn't mind SJWs that much if they weren't all so rude. From what I've seen, their default tone is pretty condescending and harsh. If someone says something offensive, in their first response, they'll be so rude. If the person's a dick, yeah, go ahead and be mean, but I think it should take you a while to work up to the rudeness. If you're a dick right from the beginning, then the OP is just going to be a dick right back.

You know, I can defend myself, certainly, and often have had to, but I don't want to come to fandom constantly ready for battle just because I'm always one of few black female people around and therefore an easy target, so having enraged white fans who enjoy a good fight against bigotry more than I do because it's a temporary novelty to many of them, and who vastly outnumber fans like me, trying to police each other instead, saves me a lot effort. That's even considering any time I might spend dealing with those of them who come at me thinking they know my internalized prejudices better than I do.

And while I won't deny that the prevalence of SJWs has reached a most annoying concentration level in fandom, I don't think they've made anything except having thoughtless fun harder, because A) at least some of the people who are now afraid to voice their opinions thanks to dogpiling had awful shit to say in the first place and I won't cry crystal tears for them learning to think before they type, and B) the troll tactic of using the most inflammatory behavior of the time just to start drama while hiding behind anonymity predates the internet and will probably outlast the heat death of the universe.

So yeah, my feelings.

You almost had a legitimate point, since white (straight, cis, etc) SJWs do like to claim they speak for everyone, even when they're not part of the minority they're speaking for.

But the fact that you use the word 'bitch' ~5 times to get your point across sort of makes me think that actually you're just a raging sexist and you're mad that people aren't letting your shit slide anymore.
