D: YES. I was never really big on Sonic in the first place, but I think I subconsciously started loathing it when I was about 7. I went somewhere with my best friend at the time and on the way home we read some Sonic comic book in her car. That was the day I found out I get carsick. \:D/

The author of #3 has my absolute agreement.

24. God, Jing is hot.

19. I cry every time I think about it. ):

I can't stand to think about it... has the woman never known a twin who lost his other half? It's the most utterly pathetic and upsetting spectacle this world has to offer.

It upsets me a lot, too. I've cried more than once. You aren't alone.

That's why she did it, she could have killed them both, but leaving one alive is worse.

J.K is a cruel bitch, and I say this as a compliment, but I love angst so...

[identity profile] drivebywizard.livejournal.com 2007-08-26 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
7. There are more (and better) games out there that aren't RPGs.
13. Man, fuck the fandom. Sonic is fucking awesome, that doesn't mean its fandom is. ):

[identity profile] nicowafer.livejournal.com 2007-08-26 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
3. I have to say it. OMG LUNAR SECRET. And I agree. I never played ff7 but its so over blown that now I doubt I ever will. But lunar is OMG good!!!

21. I have loved him forever...and I want to see your cosplay cause he is sadly under appreciated in fandom! <3 fangirling him is wonderous cause everyone looks at your weird. Especially when you say "Voldemort is teh sex" Power is hot bitches and you can't deny it.

*shrugs* I'm proud to tell people I find Voldemort highly sexy and appealing. :D I have no shame to love him.

And, yes, sadly, he's very under-appreciated. Some people have found more appreciation for him after reading my fanfic though, so hopefully that's a tiny good sign. :)

3. Lunar: SSSC was the first RPG with a plot that I played and loved. I borrowed it from a friend and many years later when I found it used at Funcoland, I totally got it! It even had the cloth map!

5. That actually upset me too... I wanted so badly to see the next Batman movie because I enjoyed the first one a lot... but if that face is going to be on the screen a good chunk of the time? I'm not sure I can do it. Mutilation makes me a little queasy...
karel: (karel; anyone perfect must be lying)

4. Not touching that.

7. Takes practice. That used to be too. But more importantly: THAT IS A 'SHOP, RIGHT? I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO GET A PS3 :(

12. Yeah, a lot of pairings are like that. In fact, I'd say that if it has a fandom, there's going to be bits of it that are annoying. Don't let it get to you, k? :)

13. I lose respect for all of the makers of these "I lose respect" secrets. :)

15. I did that when I was like 13. XD It was awesome to not know any better.

25. JARETH~! ♥!!!

toobig! :\ That would seem to be the way with popularity. :\ Spotlight seems to do more harm than good a lot.

[identity profile] lapifors.livejournal.com 2007-08-26 10:12 pm (UTC)(link)
7. It is a shop, yes! But if the next KH game really is on PS3, I might cry.

23. I like naruto and Bleach, despite the flaws, because of completely charming characters, but what I really wan't to say is AKSHGHFGAJH GOTH! *_* I swear, that manga is one of the most amazing things I've ever read. It's just...love. Dark, morbid love.

I should start pimping it everywhere I go, it deserves much more readers.

OP of #23

(Anonymous) 2007-08-27 02:34 am (UTC)(link)
I don't hate Naruto and Bleach, I just think they could do better. And yes, Goth is OMGFUCKINLOVE!!!1! Go, go and pimp it! XD

16. Sometimes I wish my country produces great comic books or any other kind of entertainment so people would just KNOW we're here and we're not SAVAGERS.

[identity profile] faceup.livejournal.com 2007-08-26 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
11. Eh? I found Momo/Ryo to be SO obvious. I mean, look at the pic used for the secret. XD I also love them to death. ♥

(Anonymous) 2007-08-26 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
11. Agreed. And not only it IS rather obviously slashable, but this pairing also has great development potential.

Just to start off, Ryoma is the pissy bratty uke type, and Momo is the sociable guy always in a good mood. You take it from there.

I wish there was more good fanfiction about them.

3. Why would you keep that a secret? Lunar is incredible and very few gamers will, like, argue with you. It's a Working Designs games. Playing WD (or ATLUS!) RPGs will always earn you automatic street cred from pretty much, uh, everyone who's ever owned a video game system in the last ten years. o__O

HERE'S A SECRET: It's not really hardcore or subversive to dislike or undermine FFVII anymore. Thinking FFVII "sucks" and is vastly inferior to every other RPG ever made is kind of the dominant opinion among gamers these days. I always hesitate to mention that FFVII is my other favorite Final Fantasy to people I don't know very well because it always results in a half hour lecture about why it's "NO GOOD" (mostly involving people ranting about how the plot is too ridiculous when we're discussing an RPG series that's pulled things like, OH, THAT TIME CECIL AND CO. RODE A WHALE TO THE MOON WASN'T THAT FUN?).

Long story short, I just don't get why that's a secret?

Although I will never, ever contest the awesome that is Lunar. Never in a million years. Never will there be another linear RPG so simple and perfect.

I'll drink to that. I haven't even played FFVII and I roll my eyes every time someone complains about being the "only person in the world who hates FFVII".

12. Matt/Mello is sooooo annoying. I feel bad for disliking it simply for the fandom. Sort of like how [livejournal.com profile] capslock_dn has been taken over by Matt/Mello shippers. =\

Re too-big: YES. GOD. I joined [livejournal.com profile] heard_of_it very shortly after it was created, and it was tiny, but there was actual, y'know, discussion going on. Because it was small, people made an effort! After the spotlight, I had to leave and unfriend it, because more than 50% of my flist posts were from [livejournal.com profile] heard_of_it and NONE of them were worth reading.

I think the mod meant the comm to be a fandom-oriented thing, and all these non-fandom people flooded in, and suddenly it was something different whether she wanted it to be or not. Very frustrating.

[identity profile] longlongwaytogo.livejournal.com 2007-08-27 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
I'm the mod of it. It's sorta back to normal now since we have got it on moderation now. But I agree with that secret... seems like no one's making the effort to reply to stuff they might not be actual fans of themself, etc, like they used to. We had a few 'battles' with idiots who didn't bother to read the rules, then were all pissed off when we put our feet down and said 'you're doing it wrong'.
I think it's probably worth coming back now...

[identity profile] arrogance.livejournal.com 2007-08-26 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
4. Agreed. I totally understand that it's not everyone's cup of tea, I can totally understand why it squicks people out, but that particular rationale never made sense to me. My best guy friend is obsessed with horror movies, especially Saw, but he doesn't want to torture and murder people, you know?

19. I feel the same way, even though I totally called it :( Have you read any of the Post-Deathly Hallows fics? Some of them give much needed closure to poor George (which was one of the things that really ticked me off about the epilogue).

21. YES. YES. THANK YOU. I feel the same way - about Riddle and Voldemort. Though we seem to be in the minority, we are out there :)

19

[identity profile] callmejude.livejournal.com 2007-08-26 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I've actually WRITTEN quite a few of those closure-fics...but it's just not the same.

I know what you mean, though. I'd heard about the epilogue, and I didn't want to read it, but I did in hopes that they would show George being okay, but he wasn't even mentioned. I think that's what made it so hard for me to deal with.

It doesn't help that all my Harry Potter-centric icons (since even owning a livejournal) are of the twins...the only ones I have that don't focus on the twins are [livejournal.com profile] shoebox_project icons. :/

Too many awesome secrets!

3. So. Would. I. This game doesn't get enough love, seriously. It may be cliched by today's standards, but it has the most lovable bunch of characters EVER. Awesome secret. <3
Of course I don't play FF anyway, but this game will always be my favourite. :x

10. I love Shamanic Princess! I own the DVD and still watch it to this day! <3
It is beyond awesome! <3

24. Le Chevalier D'Eon...King of Bandit Jing...are on my top list. <3

25. Jareth is one of my most favourite characters in a movie. I watched Labyrinth religiously since I was little and used to sing along to Dance Magic. :D

23. I tried to get into Claymore, I really did... a little too graphic for me... but everytime I see mention of the series it makes me wanna listen to "Danzai no Hana ~Guilty Sky~"

OP of #23

How is it a little too graphic? I'm just honestly curious *tilts head* I have a love/hate relationship with Claymore's soundtrack; most of it are so cheesy and rpg-ish I always go aaaargghh.
