Sure, it's been a couple of years since I was active in the Death Note fandom, but from what I remember the fans were almost all friendly and nice. And really, if someone gives you a hard time for liking both anime and live action series (or whatever it is your other fandom is) -- then they're complete idiots.

Past things I've researched include Russian myths and fairy tales, the history of sex toy and condom use before WWI, the care and keeping of guns, how autopsies are done, and martial arts styles. Right now I'm delving into philosophy and learning what exactly the job of an EMS entails.

I like learning random facts like that, too, and the touches of realism it adds to an RP is more than worth it.

That's pretty harsh.
I mean it's sometimes understandable when people freak out about their favourite anime being 'licensed' because it'll bring in all the 'n00bs' or whatever, idk, stuff like that. Or how when a series gets popular, the fandom gets worse (apparently, idk).

But you do have a valid point, as many times i re-read the secret, it sounds far too selfish than normal. I mean seeing someone with an icon and getting angry wtf. ಠ_ಠ

22. People like you make me hate prefering the subs. And I only prefer them because most dubs here have the same guy doing the voices for several characters, and try (and fail) to make them sound like the originals, and either become hard to understand, or so high pitched it makes ears hurt. Oh, and they also take the spanish version of the show, and don't bother to translate the text. >> I personally only stick with subs when the dubbed voices are horrible. The Rurouni Kenshin dub rocked tough. That's how you do dubs, yah hear me, Portuguese VA studios? *hugs it while shunning the Card Captor Sakura dub*

That's exactly how I feel.

I loved the RK dub and hated the CCS dub (although we're probably talking about two different dubs here... I'm referring to the Americanized dub). There are several other dubs I loved: Magic Knights Rayearth, Gundam Wing, DBZ, Ronin Warriors/Yoroiden Samurai Troopers... er... FMA isn't all that bad... Fruits Basket was okay as well.

2. Oh god, I know how you feel. I hate HikaruxHaruhi. It ruins everything. It makes me so sad for Tamaki and Kaoru. I don't know, it just breaks my heart, because Tamaki loves her SO MUCH. It wasn't fair to add the romance-triangle. :/

24. I know almost exactly how you feel. My friend who absoultely ADORES anime introduced me to Death Note, and I wasn't really into any other animes at the time. Now I kind of like a handful, but I'm nowhere near as into it as most. I'm content with about three series...es. oO; If you wanna fangirl with me about DN, I wouldn't mind. :3

I honestly don't have anything against Tamaki/Haruhi shippers, but I guess the logic of what you say confuses me. I pretty much saw that everyone treasured her in his own special way. I don't think you can just assume that Tamaki loves her more than everyone else, b/c there's no way to quantify love. But everyone has their preferences and I respect that you're just supporting your pairing and that's the way you see things. I personally prefer Hikaru/Haruhi or Kaoru/Haruhi.

Also, the poster wasn't commenting as much on how much he/she hated Hikaru/Haruhi but how much he/she hated the people who shipped them, which is offensive... so, you er... might not want to agree with the poster (or at least I hope not).

I... I have to agree with you there, though maybe not to the extremes of hating people for having KHR icons but I do dislike how some fandoms get big. I like my some of my fandoms to remain obscure and small sometimes.

25. Totally thought Mello was a girl in the first few pictures I saw, sadly enough. Same with Marluxia ._.;;. Despite this, I can sometimes tell when a character is a boy/girl, when their gender is meant to be a surprise.

07) Yes. Yes. FREAKING YES NOA FTW! Zed got better along the series, but Noa was always the more interesting character by miles. And as screwed up as he was, I honestly don't believe his personality shifts and other such crazies were random. He was sick and weak all his life, and he desperately needed someone or some sort of cause to cling to to feel stronger. It's not his fault those strongholds kept being ripped away from him and had to find a new one to take up.
Plus. Noa's so much hotter than Zed anyway.
To any KIBA fans out there, let's be friends? This fandom is practically nonexistent.
22) I liked Vic Mignona as Ed in FmA and he does a good enough Madarame in Bleach, but the thought of him doing Fai frightens me, and this is coming from someone who's never seen/read the series. Sadly, he's also not a very nice person in real life. At a con I went to, he totally blew off his fan club's panel because he wanted to sleep.
