I didn't like her that much at the beginning but now she's a sensible and brave woman; why shouldn't I like her?

Otoh I love Michonne too and I think Maggie and Beth are okay.

I've thought the same thing sometimes, OP. The movie played it like she was only keeping herself young for vanity's sake, but... in the flashback where we see her find the flower for the first time, she was already pretty old. I guess I see wanting to escape death as a little more important a motive to Gothel than just wanting to be pretty.

This is basically only an excuse for me to whine like a child. I am sorry f!s. But feel free to vent about your day or your week or whatever is pent up inside you that you need out.

I haven't been to classes in several weeks and have missed probably 3 tests. I started self harming again. Now I have cut myself off from people on twitter and tumblr. I am not going to tell anyone IRL though. I can't. I don't want to have to listen to their words or have them look at me or anything after I tell them how bad off I am. I know I should go to therapy or hospitalize myself or something. But part of me just doesn't care anymore. This will probably all explode in my face soon but until then I will just keep sleeping 12+ hours a day and doing stuff on the computer I don't actually enjoy. It just.....sucks.

My week's been mostly crappy, and it's culminated in a headcold that I got from my coworkers, which ultimately got me sent home early today. I'd like to not have to miss work tomorrow, so tell me, f!s, what are your home remedies for colds?

And I get it. The notion of death has terrified us since before the dawn of the human species. I like to think that I wouldn't resort to the kind of measures that Gothel did in pursuit of extending her life and youth, but how many people are ever really put into the position to make that decision for real?

I just play handhelds these days, which doesn't make me a real gamer *shrug*. Personally, I go in and out of periods where I get into games a lot. Maybe you just need that one game to get really into?

For sore throat: gargle with warm salted water or drink a mix of warm water, lemon juice and sugar. Milk and honey/warm tea also works.

For congestion: Vicks VapoRub in a bowl of hot water and a towel over it so you can breathe in the steam. Or you can rub some on you chest before going to bed. Paracetamol for headaches, and sleep.

The lack of time is probably why I rack up a greater total play tim on handhelds more than consoles or pc. I get around to the latter pretty slowly.

Hopefully you don't have what I've got; I've been down with what I'm pretty sure is the flu since about Friday. I recommend orange juice, chicken soup, Sudafed (the real stuff), and plenty of sleep.

I'd like to know more about Gothel and how she found the flower. How did she know what it did? How did she know the song, did she just make it up? How did the guards know it would save Rapunzel's mother?

It's shown in the movie that she originally had it hidden under a basket made to look like a bush. The night it was discovered by the knights or whatever, she was too hasty putting it back and accidentally knocked it away as she ran. I just assumed it was too far out of the way for anybody else to have stumbled upon it by accident before.

You aren't alone, OP. Well, I don't recognise any of the people in your secret image, but I adore bizarre crack!ships. It's my way of taking a step back from fandom instead of taking it too seriously. And knowing there's no canon justification for it but trying to find it anyway can be fun. :D
