Why? Most movies "aimed" at kids have points only adults will understand on purpose these days.

Hell, my first real date with my now husband was a Disney movie! And the same for my mother. There is no age limit on being able to enjoy a good movie OP.

Eh. Vegeta/Bulma will be my first OTP (and one of my fav) until the end of time. I have not read DBZ fic in probably 8 years. Is it still pretty awful?

You are not the only one. I am guilty of that too sometimes. But then artists don't live in a bubble. They want their art to be seen and acknowledge. Anyone who says they don't are either lying or Emily Dickinson. And if they are Emily Dickinson, you better stake her. Since she is most likely to be a vampire with her being close to two hundred years by now.

Hey, babe, what's your sign?

I was talking with my best friend about astrology today, and I got curious.

I'm a Gemini. You?

Agreed.

Though the doctor always makes me legit cross when it comes to the Daleks and stops short of eradicating them because 'that would make me just like them and I couldn't bear that!'.

No it bloody well wouldn't, pull the switch you moral coward.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
You say that like the two things are mutually exclusive...

... but you clearly want well-written and in-character stuff, so you're pretty much in the same boat. Your genre is just different.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Dr =/= the Doctor. One is a title, the other a name.

this is me with gifs and I hate when poor versions of my gifs made by other people get more reblogs

Yeah, it's a TAD over the limit

I didn't read all this because it was too long. But I do agree with some of what I did read. Put in warnings fanfic writers even if it will ruin your surprise ending. Especially if it does not end up being the pairing you said it was or if there is Major Character death(see my rant yesterday in General about a fic I read).

This troll secret again? I can't even remember how many times someone has said this.

LOL, it's exhausting to defend again, so whatever. People can ship whoever they want.

God, I remember reading the epic 30k+ words DBZ fic back in the day that was all just training and sex. And self-insert super-amazing OCs what was with that fandom.

Unacceptable.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Nobody told me that when I turned 30 I had to give up all the things I enjoyed. If I had known, I never would have done it. I am a dissatisfied customer and I demand a full refund of the last decade.

I know a lot of people are going to be "who cares, watch whatever movies you want" but I have a lot of trouble going to see any movies by myself, and most people my age don't watch "movies for kids" so I never end up seeing any of these in a theatre

[personal profile] wldcatsprstr_14 2013-04-07 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm the same. I would feel awful that people had to die but my fear of irreparably fucking up the future in a way that makes it worse than it already is would stop me from insisting on any changes to the past. I'd just be so paranoid that my attempts to make things better would horribly backfire.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't be ridiculous. Animated movies are meant for everyone. I saw Up in theaters twice and both times the theaters were packed -- and I counted exactly two children in the audience each time.

Let no one stop you from watching whatever legal entertainment you enjoy.

Aries. (tomorrow's actually my birthday)

[personal profile] sugar_spun 2013-04-07 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I can think of...two. Rosalind Lutece from Bioshock: Infinite (according to the art, can't really see 'em) and Liara from Mass Effect. I guess FemShep.

Sagittarius, but not born in December.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that's perfectly reasonable. You know, difference of opinion, but not an unjustifiable or an indefensible one. It's not as though pure idealism is always the right way and you shouldn't be ashamed for thinking as you do.
klutzygirl: by weaselett (Default)

[personal profile] klutzygirl 2013-04-07 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh, fuck what other people think and go see the movies at the theater by yourself. They're awesome.

I'm 23 and I love these types of movies. I don't care. Hell, there's a big group of people my age excited for Monsters University and Finding Dory.

Welcome to the internet I'm afraid. Black people did not suddenly spring into existence during slavery, or the civil rights era.

It doesn't make you a shitty fan. There's a million ways to be a fan. You clearly like the source material and care about it so you're a fan. Boom.
