5. yeah um. I got into the anime first, which lead me to pick up the manga. So, I agree with you on the "manga is better" part (because, honestly, most manga is better than its anime counterpart). I also don't honestly ship the Hitachiin Bros., I just laugh and squee over them like the girls in the series do, which is kind of the point, right?

I almost want to say you 'hang out with the wrong people if they give you this kind of crap', but that might be too harsh ^^;. I think it's such a nonsense that people are giving each other a hard time and are setting some kind of 'rules' before joining a fandom (You must have played the game! You must have read the manga! and so on). I knew hardly a thing about FF in general until I saw Advent Children and yes, after that I joined the fandom too. I'm still a lurker, drew some Aerith fanart and am planning to write fic for it, but I met the most sweetest people through a FFVII friending meme. There was no one there who looked down on you for not having played the game and no, I haven't played it myself (have it installed on my computer, but Kingdom Hearts II has eaten my soul, so...)

TL;DR: don't let yourself get down because of some people harping on you for not having played the game. The fandom is big enough to find yourself a spot where you're comfortable and can hang out with people you like.

You know, people like you piss me off a little. What about those people who didn't even KNOW there was a manga called Ouran before the anime was released? Or the people who can't afford to collect manga and don't really want to take the trouble to download it?

You have the right to think what you want, but I just really wish that people would realize that being an 'anime only' fan is NOT necessarily a bad thing! I have only ever collected one manga, and it's not over yet. The volumes cost me 10.00 apiece and I have a fucking family to clothe and feed. I LOVED the Ouran anime, and will continue to love and write fic for it based on it.

Fucking small-minded people.

Oh dear god I think I love you.

I don't know or really care for the fandom the secret was about, but I'm looked down on a lot because I don't read manga. I say it's because I can't afford it (which is true), it's hard to find around here anyway, and that I don't really want to download it because when I'm reading, I prefer it to be right in front of me because I find it easier to read.
The real reason? I have a perceptual disorder that makes it nearly impossible for me to read manga properly. My brain can't process the images and words together, so it can take me anything from an hour to three hours just to read one simple comic book.

So thanks for defending anime only people!

12. ...To be honest, I've always thought everything associated with FFVII was overrated... The new movie, the game itself, the characters, everything. It seemed like when the movie came out, it became the new trend to LOVE LOVE LOVE Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy in general. As if it needed the extra love.

I mean, I enjoyed Final Fantasy VII a lot but it had some big flaws. And even though I enjoyed the game, it drives me up the WALL immensely that so many people treat it as if it's the best thing since sliced bread. Square's best Final Fantasy games, in my opinion anyway, would consist of IV, V, and VI. And I also enjoyed VIII but it seems a lot of others hated it. :(((((

But Square's best game overall?

Xenogears. Hands down, it blows every single Final Fantasy game out of the water. That game was nearly perfect. It had it's flaws too, but not nearly as bad as some of the Final Fantasy games had.

Chrono Trigger also blows the Final Fantasy games out of the water. It's a shame Chrono Cross sucked so hard though... >:|

Ehehe, I just hope no one will jump down my throat for saying these things. LOL

28. I adore Iroh and I'd be so sad to see him get offed. But, with the clips from the new trailers that I've seen, I wouldn't be shocked if the story went in that direction.

Unfortunately, I'm sure fanfic will be written where he dies in a horrible melodramatic way, regardless of whether he makes it to the end alive or not. XD

I enjoy the plot very much, but not the gameplay so much... at least of what I've seen so far. Like I said, I'm not so much into video games -- if it had been a book I'd have read it and reread it several times through already. That whole science-gone-wrong thing is right up my alley, and that was what attracted me to it in the first place. I don't really think it's the best thing since sliced bread, no, but people are just so damned attached to it and territorial about it...

It's just kind of buggy when I say "I like this FFVII thing, I'd like to play it" and half my friends say "LAME, FFVII is LAME and you're stupid for being interested in it" and the other half say "OMG I can't believe you like my sacred FFVII. I played it when it first came out." I'm just tired of feeling like I can't enjoy something for the sake of enjoying it because no matter what I do, I always feel like I'm stepping on someone's toes. D:

5.) *Sigh* All right look, when you're really into something and you can see your fandom being overtaken by something you strongly dislike/hate I can understand the frustration. But the fandomly isn't ENTIRELY twincest, surely not. I find that very hard to believe, not with 3000 people. Screeching about 'OH I'M GOING TO LEAVE IF THINGS DON'T CHANGE' is an ineffective way of getting what you want, it's dare I say it? Childish. Is there any chance you'll get people to change their minds about twincest? Highly unlikely, sorry say it but it's true. I really wish people wouldn't write Jareth/Other Women stories in my fandom Labyrinth, I really dislike it but I learn to deal with it and concentrate on what I like. I think twincest would bother you less if you didn't focus on it so much. I learned to love Labyrinth again when I stopped caring and ignoring what fics I didn't like. It's hard to do when it's in such a populous number, but it IS possible. If you feel you can't do this my advice to you is to do as you threatened. Leave the fandom.
