Well, yesterday I thought it would have been an interesting topic, but instead it went down like a lead bollock.

All the same, I'd planned on asking the second part today, and so I shall:

I submit to you that boys who play video games are significantly more attractive than boys who do not play videogames.

(they're not more attractive for me personally, but if you're the kind of person who finds gaming attractive in itself, presumably that makes them more attractive)

(it should be interesting to see whether the shitstorm is any different though. bet you ten to one we don't get any comments calling you a repulsive objectifying asshole on this one)

Depends on the kind of video games. I am not into guys who only play sports games, or FPS, or MMOs. A guy who plays RPGs or platformers, though? Has potential.

I really wouldn't say playing video games is a trait that would make someone more interesting to me. But you know, if I was in a relationship with someone, I'd probably like to play video games with them either way.

Well, on a more personal level I feel attracted to some guys who play video games because it's a shared hobby. That doesn't mean they're more or even as attractive as other guys.
Then again, I can't think of very many guys that don't play some sort of video game.

Same response as yesterday, with the caveat that I am attracted to men and do find it attractive in my fiancé. Being able to talk about your interests with someone and talk with them about theirs is the turn-on, I think.

I'm not into video games so I disagree. But most people who play video games and are attracted to guys would probably agree. That's true of most interests and I don't really see what you're going for by asking about gamers. Is this a new way of polling F!S by gender if they play video games?

Playing games make them personally more interesting but it doesn't exactly affect their physical attractiveness????? Unless you mean like as a bundle? Then I'm not entirely sure because I also like it when someone's an animal lover, but I wouldn't say it makes them more attractive?? Also a lot of dudes who play games can be assholes so sometimes it makes them lesss attractive

Physically, meh, no real difference.

Emotionally, I'm more likely to avoid them. If they're solo players and like RPG's and shit, well that's fine. But FPS, MMORPG, PvP, Starcraft, fighting game fan types? Nine times out of ten they're obnoxious avatars of "geek culture" and I have yet to find a group that isn't a bunch of assholes.

Being a gay girl especially, I've been around that and it hasn't bee fun. So yeah, I'm biased. Five points to Slytherin, etc.

Being a gamer (of either gender) does not define how attractive you are. It can, however, be part of how you view their compatibility as a potential partner.

If I were to date, I would like to do it with someone who understood and appreciated one of my most enjoyed hobbies to a similar extent I did. However, it would not make them more sexually attractive, and nor would it be more important to me to date a 'gamer' than someone who doesn't game but I have better chemistry with.

There is a difference between saying 'I think gaming is hot' and 'Only men/women who play games are attractive'. The first is a preference, the second a generalisation. The latter is as offensive as saying 'only girls with big boobs are hot' as opposed to 'I think big boobs are hot' - you're reducing a person down to one particular element and claiming that it is that aspect only that defines how attractive they are.

It's fine to have a preference. Everybody does. It's not okay to generalise.
