Oh god I do not want this to be canon. Unless they like jump ahead 5 years or something and then they get together. I will read Sterek with the rest of them but dnw in my show. So many huge issues there.

if they make it canon then it will be kind of creepy since stiles is still underage and in highschool so it will be reinforcing some gross stereotypes about gay men being predators (I mean, Derek is a predator but not that kind of predator). also he would probably angst about being like Kate. maybe in a few years...or better yet, give stiles a boyfriend his own age

as another gay man, i don't really know why so many other gay men get up in arms about slash, but then again i despise a great deal of queer cinema, and i find most fiction written by gay dudes to be kind of awful

anyway, with teen wolf, i think it would be interesting if stiles realized he was bisexual, so long as they didn't go and make it a full blown coming out narrative, but i wouldn't really like to see sterek happen

the setup for it just isn't there

You have a lot of problems with Teen Wolf, yet if Sterek became canon you would forgive everything? Yet, you can't see Sterek in the show?

Okay... but you know, Teen Wolf does have a canon gay character who is getting a boyfriend this season.

I mean, it would be nice for a lead character to come out as bi/gay/pan, but I doubt Sterek would suddenly happen even if Stiles was canonically bi.
