I don't see Phoenix and Maya because they're Phoenix and Maya, and the way their specific relationship is portrayed. Not because of any attempt to make a grand statement on all guy + girl relationships. I like plenty of ships between men and women, even heroes and heroines.

Conversely, I see Phoenix and Edgeworth because of the relationship unique to them, not because I think "two guys can't be friends, lololol!" I enjoy plenty of male friendships without shipping them, too. There's nothing "automatic" about it, sorry.

Fear not, 31-poster. Here's another Urahara/Yoruichi fan who just doesn't get Soifon at all, let alone with Yoruichi. I don't usually care one way or another about pairings, but with this one... how can you see the hedonistic omnipotent awesomeness of Yoruichi with Urahara and ever be satisfied with anyone else except maybe Byakuyabo?

8. I'm feeling the opposite in a way. Since my health has messed up lately I've been getting deeper and deeper into fandom as a means to pass time and slipping from real life. I'm worried when my illness is gone I'll find it hard to balance the two, but I want to try because mainly I don't want to lose the friends I have, here physically with me and over the pond. They're all utterly amazing in their own ways. I know there's a way to do it so I hope we both find it.

10 & 20. This secret reminds me of someone, even though I know you're not them, but in the same way I'll already bet that wanting your smile to mean something is already so because no smile is without meaning when you show it to someone. Zack is a great character, I've not played Crisis Core yet and I've not looked into any of the new stuff for it, but I started replaying VII lately and remembered how much I liked him before and how hard I shipped Zack/Cloud before (Oh god, YUBINBASYA-Ryo Akizuki, you owned my soul at 14, I swear). I've never really been into the fandom for VII though, I just fell for it as a kid and loved it so much. I'm kinda scared to say that lately because I know "active fans" over the years would think I'm hoping on the post AC fan bandwagon. It's most likely not the case, but still. And hell, even if people ARE getting into it because of CC and AD, let them! Everyone should be allowed to enjoy it. Live and let live, fun times and all that.

tl;dr? Smile, I expect you already make a difference. Who cares about new fans and old fans? Don't we all have a common interest? And I loved Zack/Cloud as a kid and still now but been too scared to talk about it because of fandom influx and the old skool elite vs. new kids on the block. Conflict and hypocrital? You bet. Let's just enjoy it in whatever way we can, yeah? ♥

14. Secrets like this lately give me such mixed feelings, sad because of the issues themselves but uplifted and relieved that something has helped to overcome it. This one has touched me especially, I know too many wonderful people who do that and though I can understand why they do it I wish it didn't because it makes me so sad that I can't help. Reading things like this just, yeah, makes me smile. Keep rollin' those roses ♥

22. ...I feel the same way T_T Holy crap, I can't explain it either! (And about Shiek being a guy too, I agree with, can't help it) I think my issue is that Zelda is so... good and pure with her beauty that I can't imagine it tainted. She's that fairy-tale princess and I don't want to think about her being paired. Shiek however is the complete opposite; sort of scruffy, sneaky almost, shadowy... everything the other side of Zelda isn't. It makes it so much easier to taint the already shaded. Make sense? D: I dunno.

33. I agree with the original secret here and I only recently started playing PW and I love it so much. I love platonic relationship as a whole and yet... damn, I can't help but like Phoenix and Miles. I almost feel like I should say I fail but we all like what we like so I'm not ashamed. And hell... Honestly, it's a guy thing, it is hard to care without being called gay. It's a tough one to get around D:

Funnily enough, when I first joined fandom, it was because I was having trouble with my health, only emotionally. That was several years ago. Now, through fandom, I've gained popularity (if you call internet popularity "popularity") and a better self-esteem, only to get sick physically. My illness takes away from my time spent on the computer, and that means I can't put in the energy I once did and I'm afraid of losing that popularity I had. And I feel terribly vain, selfish, and pretty much lame for that. I guess my question is: Should I feel that way?
