I understand you can't do all of the alternative shipping alone, and it is hard to be in a fandom where you're not big on the most popular pairing, but...well, like you said, it's unintentional on fandom's part, and you can't really blame them for writing/drawing what they like. I guess the best thing you can do is try to stir up as much fun and enthusiasm about alternative pairings and characters as you can, right? Good luck. :)

6. It was Ven, not Roxas? Yeah, because there's such a big difference there. I'll probably get stoned for saying this, and I am aware Roxas and Ven are not the same person (yet), but I'm not really impressed with how much he resembles Roxas. In the secret ending you could at least see a definite difference. Now it just looks like Roxas in different clothes, and that annoys me. I'm sure Nomura will be pulling a mindfuck on us that somehow attempts to explain everything, but that doesn't change that I'm a bit stingy after he decided to milk the KH franchise with games we don't really need (the ones on portable), like it's a new FF7. Now commence shitstorm.

24. I don't think you're less of a fan if you don't like them as a couple. Having said that, I'm well aware that the world of Phoenix Wright is populated by many unique and interesting characters with a variety of interpersonal relationships. I don't need you to "remind" me they exist--I look forward to exploring them. I can write P/E and still write about these characters, you know.

1. I bet your friends worry about the same, I bet a lot of people in fandom feel the same way, I know I do, in the end we're all afraid to disappoint, no one is thinking you're going to be a horrible person because they're too worried about what you're going to think of them.

The thing is, I can understand being upset if fans felt that Moulin Rouge is the end-all of musicals out there, but to say Moulin Rouge isn't a musical just sounds like misdirected hate. Like others, I'm not sure what you're basing your definition on. Is it because some of the songs are actual performances done by the characters, such as The Can-can? (For example, in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Hedwig's band plays the songs instead of them being acted out in every-day life, like in Les Miserables or Singing in the Rain.) The songs do, however, progress the plot and aren't just there for mood. The fact that Ewan McGregor's character is singing about his jealousy in "Roxanne" is enough to define the movie as a musical. It's not typical ("normal" is a bad word for it, though it works) for someone to break out and start singing about their emotions in real life.

By all means you have a right to your opinion, I'd just watch how you word it or back it up a little better. Why isn't it a musical? Or better yet, how are others better musicals to you? This I find more interesting than a simple attack.

4. I'm enough of a musical theatre loving elitist to agree with you. Maybe not proud enough to fess up to it, but you weren't either, so we'll call it square? I love Moulin Rouge, and it's a great flick... but it's not a real musical to me unless it's on stage with an original score. (Please note: Mamma Mia - - Also not really a musical, in my book. Or Moving Out. Freaking imitation musical wanna-bes.)
