4. Some of us Broadway people are confused too. (My best guess? The OP was trying to distinguishing stage musicals from movie musicals and utterly failed--yeah, they're two different beasts, and if you ask someone for their favorite stage musical and they cite Moulin Rouge then they fail, but if you just ask them for their favorite musical and they cite Moulin Rouge and you get upset, then YOU fail.)

Fictional characters can be just as inspirational as actual human beings...
As for being 'loyal' that's their own choice. It's okay to find one movie, or one show or one book that you just absolutely love and want to try to stay connected with... there's nothing wrong with that.

I am the same - As a kid I loved being tied up for fun, and I love well-done bondage fic and write some of my own, but I guard it and my enthusiasm more closely than I do for other forms of smut - I tend to get cold silences from people when I let on that I enjoy such things. Fandom seems like the last place where you'd have to hide something like that, but I do. Rest assured, you are not alone.

Uh, no! How was I insulting exactly? And when in my secret did I say, I hate the whole fandom and it's pathetic? All I'm trying to express is that as his own character there's little out there for a Syaoran fan. I like kuroxfai even, but in the fandom as a whole, them two having sex is all you see. I'm not saying people can't show their liking for that particular pairing, but that I'd also like to see some more say gen or focus on other characters.

29. Syaoran's adorable. I think I'm one of the few people who prefer him in TRC than in CCS. I didn't care much for him in the beginning (back when we thought the clone was real) but when the clone broke and the real one showed up, made me start loving both of them.

30. ...BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Childish? This is the series that has had blood baths in the last three arcs, had a main character get his eye ripped out and eaten by another main character, had yet another main character cut off his own arm, and angst that's only slightly less than Tokyo Babylon and X. Hell, the anime got canceled because the story was too violent and bloody for the network it aired on.

KuroFay is pathetic and it's fans are crazy yaoi fans, huh? Yes, how dare fans like a canon couple!

I was just thinking over why this secret really, really bothered me. Even after I responded, I was still sort of...annoyed about it. And I think it's the implication that by writing something I love, I'm doing something wrong. And not only that, but to somehow shift the fandom karmic balance, I should write things I'm not interested in, solely for the sake of representation.

3- You look down on people for shipping canon? So happening to just like what the creator has written much of the time is bad? I don't like it when people ship alternative pairings just because they feel like shipping canon is lame and unimaginative, and not even because some alternative couple clicks with them more than the canon. I ship some alt myself and some canon myself and alt does not automatically > canon. I really dislike the mentality that the fans always know better than the creator.

3. Honestly, they better NOT pair Elliot and JD together next season, I would be so incredibly upset. There is just no way that JD and Elliot should get together now. Elliot has CLEARLY moved on and JD is still the insensitive person that he was in season 1. Now before everyone decides to hate me because I don't like JD, think about all the times that he has been rude and frankly, hurtful. I mean, there were sometimes where I wanted to slap him because he was being rude to Nurse Roberts for just the hell of it. I have to admit, I laughed my butt off when she got her back with the Jiggly Ball. :D There was also one scene where Elliot was trying to teach JD how to handle doing codes and he just snapped and said something alone the lines of "You're supposed to have a harder time with this, not me." I haven't forgiven him for that.

4. Moulin Rouge may not have the most original music but honestly, I love the story. It may not qualify as a musical in some people's eyes, but I still consider it to be quite good.
