29: I love Syaoran, and Syaoran/Sakura, and I love KuroFai. Why does it always seem like it's Syao/Saku fans vs. KuroFai fans? Or in this case, Syaoran fans v. the world. Can't we just like all of them and their relationships and be a happy little family? T.T

30: Lolz. KuroFai is pathetic? It's a kiddy show? HELP YOU? Dear God, you poor anime-only fool. The manga is definitely not for kids from Acid Tokyo on. Eye-balls ripped out and eaten, limbs coming off right and left, stabbings through the guts, blood blood gallons of the stuff. Just. Wow.

I never said I didn't like kuroxfai. I do, but you do have to admit that they whore all the attention in this fandom. Not like I'm saying you can't write/draw kuroxfai, syaoxsak, sakxfai, whatever, you get the picture. Just that I'd like a little Syaoran attention, as his own character there's little out there.

3 - A lot of times, the Token Canon Couple tends to bore me, but sometimes there's a really interesting dynamic there.

5 - ...uh? Why would they get mad at you?

14 - ...that is a very yummy picture. But I totally know what you mean -- my girlfriend and I spend time plotting all sorts of couples to cosplay, and the lack of lesbians (particularly in our fandoms) is a sad one indeed.

19 - I can't say much here that plenty of other people haven't already pointed out -- that well-developed characters are sometimes real enough to change lives.

25 - The one thing I'll say about canon-only ship freaks is a lot of times the stuff they ship and call "canon" is never actually confirmed in canon, even if the attraction is implied from one or both directions with a sledgehammer (Sora/Kairi from KH is a real good example, as are Cloud/Tifa and Cloud/Aerith from FF7, even). So I just don't get it.
But, uh, thanks for refraining from calling us alternashippers delusional. I guess. :/

I agree, and on one hand believe that I am the same person online and off. At the same time, though I'm horribly paranoid that people that like me and enjoy my company online would -not- offline, it is a lot of pressure to meet a person, and it can change things.


Though, honestly. Nervous as I always am about it - I haven't regretted doing it once, yet.

4. Amen. Except "Anything Goes" is MY favorite musical...I can't stand most musicals from Rogers & Hammerstein onward. I prefer stuff from the 1930s and earlier.

13. I gave a passing mention to Zelda timeline theories in my application to the University of Michigan and they accepted me. I worked a bunch of nerdly old horror-film characters into my essay for the University of Chicago and ALMOST got in (I was waitlisted). But I don't know how doing an essay dealing strictly with fandom would go over. I can't see much room for middle ground...it'd either fail spectacularly or be an amazing success.

4: I love Moulin Rouge, and yes i believe it is a musical. It's a story set to music with musical numbers. I couldn't say if it was a great musical cause I haven't seen many stage musicals. But for me it is great because of the direction and the story.

29 and 30: Syaoran is a great character. I love Syaoran in CCS. In Tsubasa he lacks...something. I don't know what it is exactly but he's just not as intersting to me in TRC. Until the whole clone thing happened, I really tended to ignore him, which is terrible cause he is a great character and needs more love from thw fandom. Kurofai is great, but I would like to see other things from the fandom occasionally ^^;;

And um the anime is crap. I think even CLAMP would agree with that, but the manga is not crap. Not at all. It start off kinda slow, but once you hit tokyo, its all blood and guts and fun stuff XD! And for the record, not all yaoi fangirls are crazy. thank you.

Funny story of mine: A person on a comic board I visit sent me an e-mail saying he lived in the same state as me. He then invited me to an artists get together and I did and we clicked as friends, even though I was very quiet and reserved when he met me.

That was in November of last year.

We're still good friends to this day, even though I'm still a bit shy and quiet around him compared to my outgoing, boisterous personality online (which in actuality is how I act around my family). We were both loners in school, so we "get" one another.

So the point being? Don't be worried. If they're really your friends, they'll accept you for who you are, part and parcel.

Not the OP here, but I totally agree. Poly has been stupidly good for me lately. The players have been wonderful and it's really boasted my confidence.

I know it won't be that way forever, but I'm not looking forward to leaving there one bit whenever it should happen. I want to hold onto the friends I've made and dragged there though. So badly.

29. SYAORAN IS SO COOL! Totally my favorite of the series. I cosplayed a ghetto version of him at a few cons because my friends were going to get a TRC group together (lol, never happened), and one of the only reasons I stuck with it was because he is SO cool and I really wanted to make that staff he has in the picture you used. =D

30. That said, I sometimes think Tsubasa is just a hole for people to throw money into. I really liked the manga at first, and the cameos and stuff were pretty cool, but after it seemed to become a game of "what other Clamp character are we going to run into next?" it just got old fast. The characters are cool, and a lot of the recent character development has been pretty interesting, but so much of the series seems so uninspired to me now, it makes me sad. I'm not saying the series sucks or anything, but I think there are a lot of flaws in it that the TRC will never admit to. Of course, all series have flaws, but it seems that a good number of fans I run into are completely convinced that it is THE BEST THING EVAARRRRRR OMG. ...even the best things aren't perfect, guys.

01) I worry about that even before anyone says they'd like to meet up. Half the people on my Friends List I worry that after I write a couple entries, they'll get bored and regret ever friending me in the first place. I feel bad. Sometimes I feel like my fangirling is just a act and people who friend me only like the actor.
03) I'm fine with people shipping whoever they want, for the most part. I have my share of squicks, but I keep those to myself. That said, I'll have to disagree about JD and Elliot hooking up in season seven. I actually don't want them to end up together because their friendship is so cute and wonderful, and I worry hooking them up after three seasons of little sexual tension would be out of place and beating a dead horse.

On a slight tangent, how old is Micah supposed to be anyway? I don't remember.

I am in love with the idea of JD/Cox. There is absolutely no canon to back it up.

I want them to drop the JD/Eliot storyline they've built into this last season, because this was supposed to be over and done with three seasons ago (by JD's admission). It just feels stale.


Although I secretly harbor the hope that Cox will dump Jordan and take his kids and run off with JD to open a private practice clinic in Jacksonville. :D
