Those seem like two really separate sentiments. Fat representation can be important and still be less important than representation of other sorts; more to the point, I don't see why it would make you hate that a character is fat, or view the existence of characters like that as anything other than a good thing.

I agree. All the other things you listed are natural conditions than are not common in media because of bigotry, being fat is something that should never be encouraged.

idk, I haven't seen 'Steven Universe' (just not really on my radar), but what I've seen of his design is pretty adorable. I don't know why that would upset you so much, but eh, different strokes and all that. =T

I...don't get it. Do you think that giving screen time to one particular group somehow takes away from the amount of screen time that can be given to another group? Like, do you think there's only so much screen time to be given away, and every time you give some to a fat person, the amount that can be given to a non-white or non-male or non-heterosexual person is permanently reduced?

On one hand, I can see where it would be irritating *if* people were comparing it to the other types of representation you mentioned, but at the same time? There's nothing wrong with having characters that are fat, so...yeah. Not sure why that would annoy you outside of people actually doing that [which...is that even a thing people do?]
