Is this the comment that was supposed to be snide? I don't really get that impression. It just seems like a neutral statement as to why he likely took his life

I felt the same way when I saw the three part season 1 finale of The Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes where Loki was the main villian of it. I was like, oh, he's just kind of being generically evil :\. I honestly thought the two and three parts prior to that would have made better season finales than the Asgard/Loki one.

Robert was a pig, no doubt about that, but how was Ned supposed to do anything about it? I thought that after Robert's Rebellion he buggered off to Winterfell again, and only met Robert again during the Greyjoy rebellion?

Severe Chan (like 12-14) always squicked me even when I was around that age. I could read porny fics for 15-17. Now I don't even care to read fics where HP and gang are in school. I like reading post-Hogwarts fic so much more.

Some of those old school fics really show their age, and If You Are Prepared is one of them.

I don't have the book with me right now, but King said something to the effect that Howard couldn't live without his mother, and the context was very dismissive and condescending, almost like a joke after some passages of disparaging Howard. But, then, King was full of himself in On Writing.
