OT3 recs

So yesterday's GC had over a hundred people chiming in with their favourite OT3s. But fic was few and far between.
So today, gimme your favourite OT3 fic. Be it the one that made it work - or just one that's increadable.

Leverage, Parker/Elliot/Alec, "It seemed like a good idea at the time—a road trip to the Grand Canyon—although Eliot doesn't actually remember agreeing to the idea. He figures it'll be fine as long as he does most of the driving."

I'm more interested in scenarios where it's the typical top character who is swapped if it's gonna be just the one (f/f, either one). Not that I won't read it the other way, but if an author has a tendency to write weepy unrecognisable generukes, I doubt a swap will be all that different.

when someone takes out the trash but doesn't put a new bag in after. and you always seem to find out when you have some gross, wet, messy thing you need to throw away RIGHT THEN but oh, look. no bag :|

or when someone simply sits a new toilet paper roll on the old one, instead of replacing it. it literally takes seconds and you've got nowhere else to go while you are peeing damn it.

I do this. Whoops.

But if there's someone behind me trying to go faster I move over and let them by. It DOES drive me crazy when people are sitting in the passing lane going really slow in front of me too.

I don't like being in the slow lane because it usually takes about two minutes to catch up to a really slow car or (worse) semi, and then sometimes I get trapped there while more slow people go and pass them slowly and argh

When people don't stand to the right and walk to the left on escalators.
Related: when people don't walk on the right side of sidewalks.

(I work downtown in a big city, and I'm usually walking the opposite direction of traffic. People will still walk in the small one-person lane I (and others near me) have carved for myself on the correct side of the sidewalk. Take it down a notch. That extra 2.5 seconds you save by bobbing and weaving won't add up to enough time to stop for coffee, I promise.)

Eh, I've had some troubles- admittedly, a lot to just not being used to it, but yeah, I always keep a hair tie on hand for when I'm eating. Maybe it's a thickness thing? My hair is pretty thick...

Right? At least braid it with a spike strip so that people trying to grab your hair end up with spikes to the hand! It's admittedly one of the things I liked about Frozen- long pretty hair that was up in braids; it's one of the reasons I want long hair atm, for the braids, and stuff I can (try to) do with it. :D

It just squicks me out.

I don't really have a reason for it. It just does.

This needs to come out on Blu-Ray already so I can finally see it...

NGL though, this hate for Tauriel has made me extremely curious about her character. (I want her to be awesome because of it.) I've heard mostly good things in this comm (outside a couple secrets) but I'm hoping she has some really good scenes and a satisfying ending for her character arc in the last movie.

And I didn't like Kate either, but I don't think that had anything to do with Evangeline.

Your first one made me think of toilet paper haha. I've never had that happen with trash bags but it sounds hella annoying. And I hate it when people don't replace the toilet paper (my brother is like this), or when my roommie leaves the empty cardboard rolls on the back of the toilet instead of taking them to the recycling.

Re: What Time of Day Does the Mail Arrive?

(Anonymous) 2014-03-05 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Around 3 pm on weekdays, 10 am on Saturdays. It's not regular enough to set your watch to, but it's fairly consistent.

I live in a city and not more than 6 miles from the main post office, so once the mail makes it there, it doesn't have that far to go to get to me.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-05 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
That's bullshit. I enjoy my job. I still wouldn't show up at work every day and do it if I didn't get paid for it. It's a mixture of doing something you enjoy AND getting rewarded for it.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-05 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, that was funny.

Re: What Time of Day Does the Mail Arrive?

[personal profile] abharding 2014-03-05 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
It depends. Where I live we get our mail generally late afternoon. On Mondays (because there is more mail to sort) we often don't get until after 6:00pm. However one of the reasons we are so late is that we are the very edge of our postal area so we are usually among the last to get our mail.

That said, one of our local TV stations was talking about this recently and there were people not getting their mail until 8 or 9 at night.

As been said one of the main reasons for mail being delivered so late is that there are fewer people working so it takes longer to get through the mail sorted and ready for delivery.
