Why feel smug? It isn't that I didn't notice the idea in the first movie, I just really liked Steve/Peggy and didn't want to ship him with anyone else. Until the dynamic in Winter Soldier clicked for me. Shipping it earlier doesn't make you better.

I don't really get why that would make you feel smug, especially since a lot of us shipped it way before the movies were ever made.

I don't think he's that attractive, though much more so than book!Jorah. I agree that he's creepy, though. Part of me kind of shipped in season 2, but that quickly went away.

But that was more zines, no? In those cases it was more a group of really dedicated fans who teamed up to create stuff together -- these days, the vast majority of fics are simply written and posted (by one person, I mean).

Babylon 5 secret! Hmmm. I don't know. I really liked the Susan/Talia thing and the angle of Susan hating telepaths and yet developing feelings for Talia. Marcus seemed a bit creepy at times, though he never forced it the way Jorah below did. I do ship both, but I think I like Susan/Talia a bit more.

Hell, I noticed it. But the first movie made me hate Captain America so much, I avoided reading any fics about him.

I suspect it probably also gets a lot of slack because it's significantly closer to the original canon than any of the other prominent currently-running Holmes adaptations.

I wouldn't call her a mother, personally. She was a manipulator who considered Rapunzel a walking, talking flower. I doubt she ever actually saw her as a child.

I don't think that's weird, though I do wonder if there is actually a reason it smells different or if it's just your perspective.
