You're so right that there are so many people who insist they're canon. It's kinda why I stay away from the Tumblr side of fandom.

I'm usually able to let this stuff not bother me, but I see this reaction so often and I momentarily saw red. I'm not even angry, just resigned.

Naruto-Such Twist Much Plot (spoilers)

Plot"twist", Madara had Rin become a keeper of a tailed beast and had her killed to drive Obito to the 'dark side'. I guess that makes him Palpatine to Obito's Anakin. Naruto ninja Jesus' Kakashi a new eye, Kakashi waxes on about how Naruto still wants to be Hokage even though he's surpassed them, wonders what Sasuke's new dream is, and Sakura. Oh Sakura. Because shipwars will never die the Narusaku people think it means Sakura doesn't love Sasuke anymore, where the SasuSaku people think it means she does. Basically he says her feelings have changed, but she still has feelings for him and thinks she has to be the one to save him from darkness.

THAT EPISODE MADE ME SO MAD. I don't care if he was being manipulated by Peter, he totally set Paige up to get bit AGAINST HER WILL. Sorry, my sympathy points are pretty low for Derek. This episode, the episodes where he preyed on Erica (and Boyd and Isaac but Erica's seemed the worst), and every episode where he was a smug asshole really had me disliking Derek for a while. :|

Because I know that I got into comics because of the movies. Most of the comic fans I know either got into comics or got back into comics because of the movies.

And dude, even if only 1% of movie viewers go towards comics, that is still a huge jump in comic sales. 10% sounds like a fantastic number, actually.

Look over all the secrets. Write down the numbers of the ones that interest me because I can't remember that many numbers usually. Read the comment threads for the ones I'm interested in. If I have a secret that has been posted, I'll read those comment threads first and also leave them open to check back on later.

I woke up at one am with a fever but I forgot it for all of thirty minutes when I saw the news. I'm so excited! RSE is actually the one gen I haven't played, I've played all the others, so I'm super excited to figure out the hype. And I know lots of people have been wanting this for ages, so good on them.

In other news, I am highly amused by the fact that the video basically just shows the cover art. Like, how can we have maximum hype with minimum effort? Oh, I know! Slap Kyogre and Groudon onto a box art design and watch things explode.

Oh for fuck's sake... I'm certainly not expecting billions of people to march into comic stores, but you would expect there to be SOME increase in sales if this direction is supposed to bring in new readers. Marvel has been making some of the most successful movies ever made. None of that success has gone over to the comics. Not even a little.

Is this really a hard concept to grasp for you?

I am pretty confused as to what is going on in this picture, but now I kind of want to play (the demo) just so I can understand.

Anyway, if you post it I imagine someone will find it and dig it. It's the internet: who knows, maybe someone else out there wants this very same thing but is too lazy to bother with it themselves.

I suggested that but I never tried to sell it because I've never actually read it. But I really want to.

It's supposed to be really good, and one of the first things to be really metafictional and do that. I've also read other things by the same author and he is absolutely HILARIOUS. So I think it would be enjoyable and not too tough of a read, but also give a lot of good stuff to write about.

Like I just told jester, I stay away from the Tumblr side of fandom because there *are* people there that think sterek is canon and make it out to be more than it is. I feel bad for people who start watching cause they think it's a huge canon ship full of moments.

I like the show a lot. Its you're typical, cliched fantasy but with really interesting characters. To warn you, it's based on Terry Goodkind's books. But its loads better than the books and without all the creepy philosophy that he has going on. Craig plays the main villain. He's pretty black and white for the first season, but in the second season you get more nuance.

Yeah, when you look at, say, the convoluted, bloated mess that's the X-Men comics... something like this Nick Fury deal is pretty darn reasonable.

Stupid shit happens all the time. Cracked has done multiple articles on various shades of stupid, nonsensical, and downright bizarre stuff they've done. This falls way, way, WAY down on the list of weird shit to happen in the comics. Hell, it's way, way down on the list of stupid shit relating to a Nick Fury character to happen, even just in 616-verse alone.
