My Dwarf Pally was a badass. She'd take a punch in the jaw, spit out some blood, and then slug you right back. As opposed to say, a Human (female) Paladin who'd punch you and then complain about breaking a nail.

24. I'll admit it -- I know that I fall into this category of people. More than anything, a fairy-tale ending is what I want so badly, and honestly? Yeah. I know that I'm always going to be at least a little bit disappointed by real life. But you know what? Characters from Disney have inspired me to be a better person. To find magic in the little things. To smile even when things are hard. Not to mention, the animation of 90's era Disney is so beautiful ♥

At least as regards Aerith and Tear, were we playing the same games? O____o

Because Aerith spent her time running away from the government. Openly mocking Cloud. Forcing Cloud to crossdress. Teasing Tseng. Fighting Sephiroth, and doing it on her own terms - she's the one who saved the world, Cloud and the others just helped. So you'll have to forgive me if I'm totally not seeing the Yamato Nadeshiko.

Tear loves her brother, sure - but at the start of the game she's on her way - acting entirely on her own and outside of the Order - to go kill him because she disapproves of his ideals. Who she was pre-game might've been a little yamato nadeshiko, but seriously? How you could say that anyone whose starting point is killing the male authority figure who raised her is intended to show women obedient to the patriarchy is beyond me.

37. I don't care what they are -- all I know is that Yuna is my strength-spiration. Soft-spoken, demure, but so strong and so capable in spite of it all. I mean, she took down an entire religion! Of course she had to have help -- nobody can do it singlehandedly. And, sure, Tidus was there, but he was just there to help her -- she was the backbone to it all. She was able to go up against incredible odds and face death and possible failure and she did it.

FFX-2 aside, that is. That game made me want to go homicidal on someone.

Really, fantasy helps me get though the real live troubles of having CP. I have always been very grounded in my thinking, but if seeing the world as a hopeful place is wrong I don't want to be right :)
