I think I worded the secret badly, because everyone seems to be misunderstanding. And I regret that.

But it's a general pet theory, it doesn't cover every person in the universe, and it doesn't cover every reaction. And I never said I was blaming them for my problems, either. Just making an observation. And I'm not ignorant of what you're advising.

8. I have been one of those people who has shouted "GET OUT OF MY FANDOM."

And while I do agree that fandom is for everyone, the person that I said it to was moving in on it just for attention, not because she loves the series THAT MUCH. I felt that she was getting into the fandom for the wrong reasons, and everytime I saw her making some sort of comment related to the fandom just to get attention from me and my friends, I started to hate the fandom just a little more.

I've never watched Heroes, so I don't have an opinion on the show itself, but I can't help but ALWAYS be annoyed when people whine about how they hate a fandom and hope it gets cancelled or whatever. News flash, dude. If you don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT. No one's forcing you to turn it on or read it's fanfiction. Get a grip and let the fans have their fun. Jesus.

18. Why people pass up this series is beyond me. In my opinion, it's like a Miyazaki film made into a tv series. Pretty, great story, awesome character, with the addition of a whole lot of awesome technology. Plus! Paku Romi voices Haraken, who is adorable and awesome and @# R)^BCQ#(N. Also, OP, Denpa? Reading your secret actually made me feel a lot less alone. I'm another sibling incest victim who loves incest ships for what seems like a similar reason... because I wish me and my brother's relationship could be more like the romanticized story versions instead of the reality where there was nothing romantic or loving about what he did to me.

Unlike everyone else I'm not going to suggest getting help because I would be a hypocrite if I did (I've never found the strength to tell any of the therapists I've had about it), but I am going to say good luck and hopefully one day both of us will be able to move past it.

The same thing happened to me, too, though I'm not into fictional incest. I've made my peace with it. I think telling someone about these things is definitely a good thing, but it's not something that you can rush. In my case, the rest of my immediate family knew about it, even back then, and though it's not something we discuss anymore, it made me feel as though I wasn't quite so alone.

It's very hard to open up to people about these things. I've only told one person other than my family - my boyfriend of three years, whom I intend to marry - and even that took a REALLY long time a lot of effort. I had tried several times before to tell him, but I would just end up sobbing and he had no idea why. I feel like I've grown a lot since then.

I understand why you guys haven't told anyone. It's a part of my past that I just don't want people to know about; I've left it behind and I don't want to be treated differently by people I know because of it. I also love my brother and have forgiven him, and I don't think I'd want anyone to know that about him, either.

Seriously? I've been dogpiled so hard on this I can't believe that someone agrees with me.

I'm wary of doing OCs because they tend to get labeled as Sues. I tend to try take existing female characters and add more depth - I'm writing a Kingdom Hearts fic right now, and though Kairi and Namine bore me to tears, I put a lot of work into trying to make them interesting instead of eliminating/bashing/whatevering them.

I don't know if you've played them, but Star Ocean 3 and Suikoden V are home to some awesomely subtexy femmeslash couples - Nel/Clair and Lucretia/Lelei, respectively. I also love me some FFX-2 femmeslash. Where's the Paine/Rikku love?!

Hey. I like Collette because she's feminine. She's pure and sweet and big-hearted, and tries so fiercely to believe in what she's doing for the world, even to the cost of her own soul. And yes, she was a damsel in distress for a large part of the game, but it's hardly her fault, is it? She has some badass moves later in the game and I love fighting with her. I just don't think I could see her characterized any other way. The story wouldn't work if she was like... say, Zelos, who was also a Chosen and should have accepted his duty the same way but didn't.

At least Sheena isn't in there, or I might have had to kill someone.

EDIT: Also wondering why Chii isn't in there, speaking of my icon. She's probably the best example of the stereotype ever.
