11. I don't tend to nudge anyone for a fic that was posted a long time ago, since usually, like you said, the person who wrote it doesn't think it's good anymore. Sometimes I see entries along the lines of, "wtfff why are people still commenting on this? It's so shitty. Why don't they go read and review the newer stuff?" It sort of turns me off the commenting on old stories thing. Sorry.

14. I don't watch Heroes because it's pure intellectual stimulation. It's cliche and there are so many storylines going on sometimes it's hard to untangle every plot thread that pops up. and yeah, there are bits and pieces borrowed off other series (but I highly doubt those shows would win points for originality either). I watch it because it's fun, I like character-based dramas, and I'm a sucker for superpowers when it doesn't involve tights and capes.

Nobody's going to slice off the top of your skull and eat your brain if you don't like one damn show. If Heroes doesn't appeal? That's okay. Don't be afraid to tell people your dislikes. x[

And, I have to stand up for Mint here. Sure, she may be kind-hearted, but she also won't give up even if she is arguably one of the weaker characters in the game. Some characters just ARE kind-hearted and soft-spoken, so WHAT? Most people aren't as cookie-cutter as you portray them like that, and I'm pretty sure most of those characters don't fall under that and not have any other sort of personality.

So, thanks for your sweeping generalisation and gross overstatements, and I'll be playing Tales of Phantasia now.

37. While I think that some of those characters do have some positive points, the fact that there's a word for the character type sort of like... embodies the reason that they annoy me so much. If that makes any sense. They're characters made to fit an ideal that doesn't really fit with me. I have to admit I do like Yuna though. But she got shit done for herself, man. Yeah she was still humble and mild and soft spoken but the whole plot revolved around her (contrary to what Tidus believes. He was more of an outsider-as-narrator than a driving character). WORDS WORDS WORDS.

29. Aw, I don't think she's all that attractive at that age. But I don't think she's ugly, either. :( And she's so pretty at 23!

37. ... what. WHAT. Okay, I can't speak much for a lot of those girls, and you may have a point with Garnet, but... Yuna? Kairi? Aerith? Yuna's sweet and demure and the most yamato nadeshiko on the surface, but she is a mover of mountains and a paragon of will. I don't see her doing an awful lot of obeying - she throws off a FALSE RELIGION that she has ALWAYS BELIEVED in order to save the world! Kairi suffers from Princess Syndrome, I'll readily admit, but she's recovering nicely. She totally tops Sora and Riku and gladly fights when she can - tries even when she can't! And Aerith... Aerith is one of the LEAST yamato nadeshiko women I think I've ever see. Girl's absolutely indomitable, and she does it with a sweet smile that leaves you wondering if anyone got the number of that truck. If she's a yamato nadeshiko, I'm the Queen of England.

Yuna, Aerith, and Kairi are some of my favorite female characters ever for their strengths and spirits. Yamato nadeshiko my ass.
