37. I don't even know half of the girls on there, and don't actually hate most of the ones I do know... but I'll kind of have to agree with this secret. Not everyone dislikes female characters just because they're women or get in the way of buttsecks or whatever. It may be an issue on the author's side or just a cultural gap.

(Plus, it seems too often female characters are relegated to being plot devices that make a male character seem more appealing, which is fucked up.)

29.) The artwork for everyone in the first game makes me really sad. D: Edgeworth's shoulders are huge, Mia's got a bloated-ish face, and Nick's face looks squashed.
What stinks the most is that they keep it through the games. >_> At least younger!Mia got some awesome sprites.

You want some female characters I think are awesome? Marle and Lucca from Chrono Trigger, Kidd, Harle, and... well, a LOT from Chrono Cross, Lyon, Sialeeds, Lucretia... a LOT from Suikoden V, Shion and KOS-MOS from Xenosaga, Paine from FF X-2, Chris from Suikoden III, Chloe from Tales of Legendia, Terra from FFVI... do you want me to go on?

I'm saying I hate the TYPE, not women as a whole. GEEZ.

Just about every Staff Chick in every RPG ever has this kind of personality at least in part; the Final Fantasy series has plenty of good examples, though Aerith of FFVII is arguably a subversion (she's not exactly docile and submissive, but she's otherwise more traditionally feminine than the other girls and DOES occupy the 'comforting, mothering figure' aspect - and comments on it in Advent Children). The best examples from the series would probably be devoted love interest Rosa from FFIV, Garnet/Dagger (when she's being a demure little princess and not a rebellious one) from FFIX and especially Yuna ...in FFX, though definitely not in X-2.
So. Aerith can be considered a subversion, Garnet and Yuna don't fit the mold all the time, and Rinoa isn't even mentioned. Way to go with your picture selections.

20.) Dwarf females are awesome and I have seen some artists draw them really, really sexily. Ain't nothing wrong with a woman who looks like she belongs on the front lines of combat. I had a female Gnome Warrior for the lulz (because the concept of a tiny adorable ball of KILLING RAGE just amuses me entirely too much) but if I had to pick another female Alliance race to be a warrior/pally, it'd be a Dwarf. NEs, Humans, and Draenei just look too... dainty. :/


27.) The odds are against you getting killed by Voldemort. Also, yay Lily/James. I'm purposefully as far from the HP fandom as it's possible to be while still liking the books, but that's one of the things I'd say "Yeah, I ship it."


29.) Older Mia? I can see that, sure. Young Mia, though? Probably the single hottest woman in the trilogy.


35.) I lol @ people (in fandom or out) who get so uppity and self righteous at people who've had sex or can't understand that it's not like "oh hey I've slept with someone I AM AUTOMATICALLY NOT INNOCENT OR PURE ANYMORE OMG." I knew one girl who actually said (in a conversation about a couple being together for fifteen months and not having slept together yet) "Wait, isn't fifteen months a bit... soon for that?" And I just /sighed.


37.) Eh. I'll do a slash pair if I think the characters make sense together. There's no point in writing slash simply because the canon female love interest isn't "good enough" when the guy you're pairing him with isn't any better. >_>

I don't know, I'm personally willing to grant a certain amount of leeway on that point... if just because some of the coolest Disney girls in KH2 got sapped of their awesomeness (JASMINE! MULAN! 24. Yeah, sometimes I think the same way. I love Disney movies but some of the fans are immature and idealistic. I headdesk every time someone's like "I wish I was Princess Jasmine." No you fucking don't, did you even get the point of the story? She has to run away from home just to have things you take for granted! Art is about concept, not training. I've never read Questionable Content before, but I'm sure he draws because he has something to express, as does any artist, using any medium. And while training is certainly necessary when you want to learn a new skill (or perfect an old one), if you truly had something you needed to express through your art, you'd do it regardless. That you don't seem to understand this makes me wonder if it's you who's the untrained artist.
