2. I think you're either looking at the wrong pictures, or you just don't get it, or it may be that all you've seen are the bad ones. Lolita fashion IS overpriced, but I think some of it are really pretty and people can be twenty+ AND look really cute/young at the same time. But whatever~ Not gonna touch this.

Of course there's an upside to everything, I won't deny that. If Loli fashion were ALL bad, this secret wouldn't have been made to begin with. Still, I think this is one of those cases where the "Urgh, fuck?" outweighs the good. Point of fact: those people in the pics? Aren't the generic bad lolis you laugh about at cons. Someone actually thought they were good enough to put their imeges in some sort of publication.

9. Mm. I'd recommend Bleach to you, except I'm thinking you've probably already heard of it/tried it...? I dunno, if you haven't, that's definitely what I suggest in terms of good female characters. If you have tried it and think it's just as sexist as the rest, I'm sorry =/ I think Bleach rocks on that front, but yeah. I do feel your pain about the female characters ♥

It's part of why I'm currently so in love with Gundam 00, too. Some brilliant women in that show.

11. No matter what my ex-boyfriend says, I know he's getting a degree in psychology because of Hannibal. So yeah. =( I mean, he's an interesting and awesome character, but I don't get the obsession some people have with him.

I think the weirdest part is that he looks down on me and a few other mutual (male) friends who find Hannibal a fascinating character because he is convinced that we're being obnoxious fangirls, whereas he has said he would rather be Hannibal than fangirl over him.

Also, 2: I love the fashion, and have for a very long time now. I think it's really beautiful, but I think I like it simply because I have very real thing for victorian-era fashion. Actually, I'm very fond of period or period-inspired clothes in general, and I love things that are beautiful in the way that the loli style is. I don't wear it, but sometimes I wish I had the guts to throw some money at it and see if I'd enjoy it rather than just drawing or looking at it.

2. Fashion is a person by person thing so I can't knock you for disliking it... but choosing those pictures make me wonder if you're even looking at decent lolifashion. Those outfits look like dumpster-diving-loli.

I chose the pictures to make a point. If I'd picked one of the undoubtedly over-photoshopped variety, my point would have fallen rather flat. But I don't consider pictures to be generally good indicators of fashion anyway: most of the loli ensembles I've seen IRL - even well-made ones - look pretty unflaterring on the wearers.
