Go for it, nonnie. Most likely, there won't be a whole lot of people who'll notice the page (and I'm saying this as a member of a tiny fandom whose canon source recently got a TVtropes page of its own); and even if it does attract attention, I don't see what downsides it could bring with it that aren't already a part of what it's like to be a published author.

Text: A few years ago, I was one of at least twenty people who either left or were banned from TV Tropes as part of a massive flamewar. Among other things, I was angry with the head mod's insistence that Japanese culture promotes pedophilia. Now, I'm starting to think he was actually right.

BS: I'm pissed the hell off at the U.S. publisher's non-answer about how these girls MIGHT be 18, and about all the visual novel fans who jumped in to defend underage sex as a natural and expected part of the genre.

someone from a while ago (at least a year I think, probably more) posted a secret about the fact that they were writing 100 fills for a dead or mostly dead kink meme because they wanted people to be really surprised when 100 fills started being posted all at once and I've always wondered how that was going

Also, I am amused at the fact that you go from "such good slash fic" to "mediocre het novels."

Maybe because I, personally, have found that there's more good slash fic than het fic. (Just my opinion there, though)

So I'm trying to be a good feminist but this manslamming thing seems a little silly to me.

So to catch you all up: Manslamming - The practice men have of colliding with women if they do not move aside for them.

My own possibly ignorat thoughts: This is not unique to men. and I don't mean this in the "But men suffer XXX" too!" kind of way, I think people truly regardless of their social privileges assigned by society are split into two groups The "People who inherently move aside" and the "People who stick to their course regardless of obstacles" The latter group are jerks, and a lot of men may also be jerks, but in this one case I do not believe these are connected.

Full disclosure: in the time since I posted the secret, I decided to actually play this. The review on Kotaku talked it up like it was an incredibly awesome game apart from the whole "students have graphic sex with teacher" thing, and I figured I should at least give it a look before hating on it. I even played the uncensored version, because if that's the version the devs originally made, that's the version I ought to play to properly evaluate what kind of game it is.

The thing is, it's perfectly written for what it is! Olga* is cute and innocent, but has a lot of hidden angst, and that's reflected in her path. Olivia* built a wall around herself to hide any weaknesses, and that's reflected in her path. And Aria . . . Aria is a rash, impulsive child, and her story reflects all three of those things, including a brain-breakingly awkward sex scene where she talks like a kid while describing how a dick feels inside her. It's one step removed from that infamous pedo scene in Firefly by Piers Anthony, and I don't even know what to say about it, since it's exactly what it tries to be.

(Also, there's an ending where Olivia fondles Aria and promises to "make her a woman" while Aria screams for someone to help her. It's supposed to be funny. Fucking Japan!)

*Side note: it confuses the hell out of me that the woman with olive-colored hair is named Olga, and the woman who reminds me of a Viking is named Olivia.
