Here, I'll roll you a new one. What about the argument that 100x100 pixels is a small enough excerpt that it should fall under fair use (assuming of course, the iconmaker credits)? I don't see why it's okay to claim fair use for official art from a series but fanart is somehow this sacred ground. We don't exactly ask permission from the official artists either, and they ARE making their livelihood off these characters. (And if they came and told me to take their art down, I'd do it just as I would if a fanartist did the same.)

In b4 BUT OH MY GOD FANARTISTS USE REEL TIME AND TALENT ON THEIR FANDOM!!!!1 Fanfic writers use their time and talent too, but nobody seems to appreciate that. (For the record, I'm just as fine with fair-use replication of partial fanfics :P)

43. I understand. Just some of the shows can really suck you in. ( I was recently introduced to Doctor Who. Oh my goodness, where have I been all this time?! ) You won't notice how long they are. Just like boring shows will only drag on and on. *Shrugs* But I am not saying you should go out and watch ever one of those shows you posted. . .just saying don't focus so much on the time length they say they are. If you get sucked in, you won't notice.

Well said. I'm of the rare opinion that FF games are all more or less of the same quality (although some, like V suffer in story while others, like VIII and XII completely flunk GOOD BATTLE SYSTEM design) and in the end, it's all up to personal preference based on theme, setting and characters.

Also, Grandia. ♥ It always seems like people have forgotten the classic PS1-era RPGs (or, uh, defunct Sega-system-ported-to-PS1-era RPGs), which is a thoroughly depressing prospect considering how few RPGs made these days can compare. *sigh* Your secret made me feel sparkly and nostalgic FOR THE GLORY OF MY YOUTH.

18. Childhood OTP = HELL YES. I was seven years old (or thereabouts - I'm not actually sure), and I was so in love with that pairing. I'd almost forgotten about them, too.

30 Wow, cool, Grandia secret. I love Grandia, and it's definitely one of my favorite games, let alone RPGs, BUT.

Seriously. You don't like FF/you like something else better. Cool. Mentioning how everything else is better than it/you like it better doesn't give you street cred, it just makes you look seriously silly. I, uh, understand - I enjoyed Grandia more than any FF game but I don't feel the need to mention it as a qualifier every time I mention another RPG. There is nothing inherently BETTER about less popular games.

35. I completely agree. It's sad how many people don't seem to care about anyone's feelings besides their own.

I don't find him attractive, either. In fact, I find him repulsive.

And I can't, for the life of me, put a finger on why. He's a type I usually find adorable--the high-energy elfin-boyish type. But there's something really "off" about him that triggers a DO NOT WANT response.
