22. Yeah, but plenty of other characters have the same depth. When Sakura had her "secret" wish, she was bashed for being overly angsty, mary-sue, etc., but when Yuuko does it, that just makes her mysterious and cool?

Lots of people complain about male Clamp characters being held a level above the female characters, but I don't see why Yuuko should be held above any other female either.

42. People seem to like believing they're in the minority in fandom no matter what. That's why I usually roll my eyes at those "unpopular fandom opinions" memes being called that -- within the same meme, you almost always see lots of different people stating both sides.

Controversial =/= unpopular.

I think it would bother me less if the Japanese weren't so very clear, most of the time, about disliking their fanart being used that way. :/ They go out of their way to make sure English-speaking fandom knows they want to be asked first if you're going to do stuff with their art. And yet so much of English-speaking fandom is all, "Well once they put their fanart on the internets, they have no say in what happens to it!" Not technically, no, but isn't it common courtesy to respect their wishes?

But fandom's response to this seems to be one huge entitlement complex of "I WANT to make fanart icons, so I'm going to IGNORE the way the artist feels! My wants are more important!" And that kind of self-centeredness seriously turns me off the idea of fanart icons entirely. =_=

38. I think Reborn is one of those series where there's a lot more under the surface if you're willing to give it a chance and look at it really hard, instead of just taking everything at face value. I think it was more unique before the Kokuyou arc, when it was still playing up the zany comedy, but even if it reads more like every other shounen on the planet now, I love the character development that came with the serious arcs, because yeah. Tsuna definitely isn't a Sora clone. They're all pretty well developed, interesting characters, IMO.

18. I got out of anime a long time ago, but Haruka and Michiru will always be one of my favorite couples ever. They make me feel sort of longing but hopeful as well.
