I actually spent a lot of the last season hoping - despite knowing it was pointless - that Iris was going to fetch up again, because she was probably the person the Doc would be even less happy to see than the Master. (Yes Theta, there is one other survivor, your stalker!)

Can I get some credit for trying to get my hands on the earlier games, and for buying the Umbrella Chronicles before I even beat RE: 4, because I knew I wanted more of the story? And for spending most of my free time now trying to build up my knowledge of all of the previous games, and longing to play them and kicking myself for not discovering the fandom sooner?

Or am I damned to be a n00b forever because Resident Evil 4 was my gateway into this fandom?

38. I'm not the OP, but I think what you said there is entirely true. I never thought about the Shinji-hate in depth, I remember getting annoyed with my friends who all seemed to really hate Shinji. You're totally right, people want the protagonist to be someone super kick-ass they can pretend to be, rather than anything like a real person.

65. I'll always love the original Land Before Time for portraying a parent death and pulling no punches about it. I don't think I would have been as able to deal with my father's death if cartoon dinosaurs hadn't already exposed me to the idea.

There are a few eps up on YouTube. It was a fantastic dub (even if not an accurate one) in the fact that it reveled in its own absurdity. It wasn't TRYING to be anything but awfully cheesy and it was wonderful that way.

But hell with Unico and The Little Prince getting new commercial releases, I remain hopeful the same could happen for Samurai Pizza Cats.

It really kind of hurts both of them (I've been on both sides of that coin, ironically...with two different people.) because when you're all take and no give with someone you start to feel guilty, but you've gotten so used to taking everything that they give you that you don't exactly know how to change.
