33. I can see what you mean. I love Death Note, but I stay far, far away from anything in the fandom. I know that I'll end up hating the series if I get involved in it. And yeah, I feel like I'm being elitist a bit, but so long as I get to enjoy the series I don't mind so much.

::EDIT:: 64. I concur 100%. I actually had a row with a boy in my History class over this (my History class is convinced the film is a faithful adaptation of reality, no joke ._.) because he was adamant that it was a Disney production just because it was animated. Gah.

33. I'm actually really surprised that so many people stay away from the fandom. It has it's tards, of course, but if it weren't for the fans I wouldn't love the series with the burning heat of a thousand suns the way I do now (and I ADORED it before joining the fandom.) Just curious--why do you think you'd end up hating it? I mean, what exactly could happen?

I liked using her in my party a lot, but I was honestly involved a lot more with the character development of Mitsuru, Akihiko, and others. I think Aigis' development was good in some places and...stilted as hell in others. It didn't run very smoothly. So she ended up a bit 'Meh' to me. Maybe FES will change that for me, I dunno.

And yes, America would like some Innocent Sin, Atlus. And Soul Hackers. And a re-release of Nocturne for everyone who hasn't gotten a copy yet and doesn't wanna pony up 100 bucks for it.

54. ...Just because someone says the series had an emotional impact on them doesn't mean they think it's the best series ever written or that they are immature in any way. I personally think the writing is fine, but more than that, the story is fucking great. People connected with the characters and the theme behind the story. It's a story for everyone; people from any generation can read and enjoy it. Just because it's not Shakespeare, doesn't mean it doesn't deserve praise of its own.

16. oh dude I totally sympathize. I mean, I don't dislike Aigis, but she...didn't really do a lot for me, I guess. (Although my biggest complaint about the ending is that WHERE THE FUCK IS KEN, I know they put the ending at the high school and all but god, way to shaft my favorite character.)

I'd punch nuns for an American release of Innocent Sin. :(
