4. Megatokyo was the first webcomic I ever read/liked. I also bought a lot of merchandise for it (which I finally got rid of over Christmas). It felt a little nostalgic to throw away all that crap I'd accumulated years and years ago...but...it's not a great comic, and I got really annoyed with it. So...yeah. I know exactly where you're coming from.

Oi, you need to watch less shonen. Mind you, the target audience for shonen series like Naruto and Bleach are pre-teen boys. Granted, they should be throwing in some strong female characters into the mix, but generally, the hero is male, and he's pretty strong.

Look in other places, like video games such as Phoenix Wright and other games. Franziska is a villain in a way, but she's still a strong character.

I listen to them often, usually when I feel depressed or down. Maybe it's not poppy or that upbeat (with several exceptions), but listening to songs like "King of Pain" and "Message in a Bottle" really speak to me on a personal level. Like someone else really understands the pains of life, and how we're all stuck on our little islands, reaching out for precious connections with other humans. They remind me that my feelings of lonliness and sadness are not unique. Everyone feels my pain, and I'm not alone in being alone. They give me hope when I seem to have lost it all.

I think I can safely say that Sting and his brilliant lyrics (along with the other member's awesome music) has saved my life. I hope I can meet him one day to thank him.

50: What's there to rejuvinate? Last I checked, which I admit was a while ago, the K/S fandom was still alive and kicking.

70: That's really nothing to be ashamed about. I started taking writing seriously because of LKH and her Anita Blake series, no matter how bad it is now. A lot of us owe her for inspiration or lulz, both if they browse lkh-lashouts.

Wasn't it just Ozamu Tezuka, though? Sure, he's considered the founder of modern manga, but all the other mangaka probably had other inspiration as well.

Also, wasn't it the eyes of Disney animals that inspired him? I don't recall hearing anything about skincolour.

That said, I also like several sorts of animation. I don't really think one should compare Disney with most anime, since they are so different, and tries to do different things. All versions have their good and bad points.
