comics scans?

Where can I read the tie-in/spin-off comics to Superman: the Animated Series? My google-fu is failing me with this one and I'm not OK with paying 50 bucks of overseas postage fee on top of whatever price the comics themselves will fetch on internet second-hand/collector market.

Nintendo DS questions

I'm thinking about getting a Nintendo DS but have no information whatsoever.

Can I get a DS or do I need a 3DS? I mainly want to play Pokemon, especially FireRed and HeartGold, but also Black/White and maybe the new games coming out.

I find the 3DS too expensive, tbh. The 3DS is backward compatible with DS games, right? Is the 3DS worth it? What about other games? I like RPG style games and puzzle games.

If you can find a regular DS, go for it, but FireRed is an Advance game, so if you get a 3DS, you can't play it (Unless it's avaliable digitally, I don't recall if it is.)

3DS is the "next gen" so yeah, you'll need that or a 2DS if you want to play that gen's games. I believe Black/White is only for DS, but X and Y are for 3DS. You won't be able to play Game Boy Advance games on it though. Still, I think the 3DS is a great system, there are lots of great games, and of course you can still play any DS games too.

Get the 3DS. The DS is pretty much defunct at this point. There's several different flavors of it, though 'cuz Nintendo can't leave well enough alone and keep releasing updated versions.

Also you can buy DS's second hand that are pretty decent quality.

A 3DS is definitely worth it imo, because it can play DS games (but no GBA ones) as well as 3DS games and virtual console games from the eshop.

But if the 3D aspect itself isn't worth it to you, you can always get a 2DS, which will play all the same games, just with no 3D ability and it doesn't fold up to make it easier to carry. The upside is that a 2DS is about $100 cheaper (I think?), and if you get screen protectors you won't have to worry about damaging your screens.

I have a DS and 3DS mostly for Pokemon, also for some Zelda games, Advance Wars and maybe one or two random things. Oh, Animal Crossing.

All in all, the Pokemon games you mentioned are DS, not 3DS, and I enjoyed the Gen VI games but the ones you mentioned are actually among my favorites, I love BW and HGSS, more than the Gen VI games.

It does seem a bit silly though to not buy a 3DS when you could be getting so much more (potentially) from your system...guess it depends on what the price difference is? like if you can get a DS super cheap maybe you should get it and think about upgrading later, but if the price gap is small it might be better to invest in a 3DS.

Also, 2DS is an option and it plays all 3DS games. You don't get the 3D but it's cheaper. Since I don't like the 3D anyway (gives me a headache and I literally just keep it turned off all the time) a 2DS would have been a better investment for me, but it didn't come out until I'd already bought my 3DS.

I think the only other 3DS-only games I've played besides Pokemon are LoZ: A Link Between Worlds (highly enjoyable) and Animal Crossing: New Leaf (cute but not worth getting a whole console for IMO).

Friend Dumping

Let's suppose you friend dump someone who has been dumped because they said too many hurtful things. Let's also assume you don't see them much, if ever, through mutual friends/activities.

1. Do you tell them you're friend dumping them, or just avoid contact?

2. If they ask why you've stopped contacting them/unfriended them/whatever else, what do you say?

Related: Is there any point in explaining to someone why their behavior is hurtful? Or will they almost always just find a rebuttal that excuses their shitty behavior?
