The OP is absolutely right. Stuff like 50 Shades and Twilight is gross and weird but it's definitely not "Gay serial killer wants to cut off your penis and sew the breasts of a corpse on you and drill you a new vagina in a horrifyingly close allegory of both homophobia and trans panic" levels either. Fangirls especially for some reason seem to gravitate towards some hardcore torture porn scenarios while still thinking it's "squeee socute omigod". That's what OP is talking about. Things like 50 Shades and Twilight are gross too and absolutely deserve to be talked about if someone wants to make a secret, but this secret isn't about that, and OP is right that it's pretty rare, unless you specifically go onto like, guro boards, to find casual male/female pairings where the woman is outright beaten and tortured and people still find it "kawaii hawt".

I dunno, to me it's just shaming girls for fapping to something gross while turning a blind eye to the prevalence of hentai rape or guro, the vast, vast majority of which involves female characters being brutalized. It's yet again an example of men's kinks getting a pass.

Also, I can't speak for the Outlast fandom, but I've never seen any Thramsay shipper believe their ship is genuinely "kawaii" unless it was tongue-in-cheek. Maybe you're deliberately choosing to overlook that part or are incapable of detecting tongue-in-cheek humor because it gives you an excuse to be outraged.
