Only thing I can think of is Looney Tunes. It might have its moments, but outside of Space Jam shitposting, I don't even see anything on par with what even Disney zombies do.

Wait there was the Tress MacNeill stalking indecent during the heyday of Tiny Toon Adventures in the 90's, or the whole flap over Loonatics Unleashed (which wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be, it's just unfortunate it got saddled with too much baggage), so no, not even Looney Tunes is immune.

Honest question, and this is from somebody who doesn't know this show at all, but isn't the entire basis of their relationship that they kind of...don't like one another? :/

I had even submitted a secret about this that was supposed to be posted today but wasn't for some reason, but yeah, from an outside POV the "Klance" shippers seem really wanky, and this is just what I see when the majority of my tumblr mutuals [i]actually ship it[/i]. I have a couple ones who don't, and the receipts they give are pretty damning.

I think a few people just made some posts about Voltron staff being "pedophilia supporters" on tumblr but I don't think anyone has harassed them about this directly (yet).

It's amazing how quickly this fandom went to complete and utter shit (I don't think even Undertale got soured for people that quickly) and how the fans of this ship managed to turn me (and many other people) off this ship completely. At first I used to reblog art of it and even read some fic, even though these kinda "slap slap, kiss kiss" ships usually don't appeal to me, but now I switched to avoiding it completely. Not to say it's only Klance shippers who do nasty shit because I've definitely seen it from other groups too, but since they're by far the biggest ship they also have the largest amount of assholes, and it's hard to avoid their opinions on ships they deem ~problematic~ because they're everywhere. I sincerely hope the Duo Of Holy Ships Klance & Shallura gets sunk hard in canon (doesn't matter how) so the shippers can cry about how the writers are homophobic and racist for not making their super progressive ships canon.

While I'm actually (passively) OTP-ing a different ship (Shiro/Keith), I usually have a "ship and let ship" view of things. But Klance shippers are just so annoying and pushy that I started blocking the ship on tumblr (I don't actively seek out any fandom stuff for this show because damn, it's mostly shit/people being assholes. But a few people I watch and who usually really like ship it.)

I don't delve in the fandom but do you have links by any chance? I remember there was wank for some fic (Dirty Laundry?) and some screaming "RACISM" or something along the lines. I also remember how fandom blew up over the Shiro and Pidge age thing.

I am truly astonished at how quickly this fandom became so incredibly toxic. I mean, it's not the most toxic fandom I've seen, but it's definitely the quickest deterioration I've ever seen. And Klance shippers are the source of most of the worst of it, from screaming that shipping Shiro/Keith is pedophilia, to viciously harassing the writer of that one fic for being racist (even though literally EVERY Hispanic person I've seen who read it was going "Lol, that's my family EXACTLY"), and bugging the VAs on twitter asking for their opinions on their ship...

I mean, I've seen bad behavior from other parts of the fandom, too, but sweet baby Jesus the Klance shippers are something else.

It's because they're the most popular ship in the fandom, so shippers act entitled. Honestly, this is evident in any media that has a large fanbase, the most popular ship tends to name the second popular ship as problematic, etc.

Ugh, Klance shippers are the actual worst, I've already seen a couple say the workers on the show support pedophilia because of that "he's looking at Keith" post. I feel so bad for Sheith shippers, going into the tag for their ship only to be assaulted with "SHEITH IS LITERAL PEDOPHILIA AND ANYONE WHO SHIPS IT IS SCUM AND SUPPORTS CHILD GROOMING/SEXUAL ABUSE/ETC." by Klance shippers (who lbr, are only using SJ to feel superior and shit all over a ship they feel threatened by) must be so disheartening.

After seeing some Keith/Lance shippers actively wish death on Shiro so he won't get in the way of their crappy OTP, I can safely say that the ship and its fandom are pure cancer.

Well, it sadly wouldn't be the first time that the rotten apples of a fandom did that... just recently people started tweeting terrible abusive shit at Tite Kubo because of the Bleach ending and I'm just thinking: Chill? Get a life? Go outside? Pet a cat?

Liking something a lot is fine, but as soon as you start harassing the makers, it's crossing a line.

(also does it just bother me that people chose to call this ship "Klance" when "Leith" would have sounded a lot nicer?)
