I never thought I'd feel this way but I am getting pretty tired of MCU films, tbh. They're all the same, more or less and I don't see that changing any time soon (and why would it, they're still making bank). The only thing I really loved about CW was T'Challa. I think Doctor Strange will be the first MCU movie I skip (at least while it's in theaters).

(I'm pretty sure Martin Freeman was in the film to set his character up for future films, which is one of the huge issues I'm having w/the interconnecting of the franchise - every film feels like it's a promo for upcoming films).

he's like a little kid, and the show portrays him as such
he gets into trouble and sometimes understands what he did was wrong, usually because he sees how it affects others
so to me it makes sense he doesn't realize what he's done if he doesn't see the consequences

he's not a particularly smart kid, but he's not selfish either
he's more like a morality pet, not "main character who's always right"

The way I see it, the real heroes atm are Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst

Steven is their morality level gauger, and the show is still building him up to become the main hero

I think I'm a case where if I am interested, I will have some fandom involvement, but it will be occasional and not heavy into the active community (though given that a lot of the active community is on Tumblr and I'm not, I won't get involved in that anyway).

The best example I have is also a kind-of reverse of what you've asked - I watch GoT reviews, recaps, theories and explanation videos, read the wikis, read fic, but I don't want to watch the show or read the books.

This is far more cynical than the other anon's hypothesis, but. It's possible (maybe not likely, but possible) that he's agreed to talk but not follow through because he wants to keep you emotionally invested :/

Either way, can't hurt to take the time to reacquaint yourself with yourself, get to know who you are away from the lens of a relationship? Do all the things you wanted to do while dating him but couldn't, etc
Amongst other things, it'll help pass the time until you hear back. Plus the possibility of you having a better idea of what you actually want from a relationship (and if it's something you can get with him at all).

(I can't remember your older posts, but this post makes it sound like you're wanting/hoping to get back together with him.)
