It can be used as a sexual idiom, but it does not necessarily have to be. I can see why someone might have thought that OP meant it in a sexual way, definitely, but I think it's more likely that OP meant it in a non-sexual way, and I understood it in that way, and I don't think there was anything wrong or misleading in that usage.

He messed up a mission as early as Cheeseburger Backpack (the third episode) -- the Gems aren't particularly hard on him about it, but we find out later that they have plot-based reasons for that.

There are a bunch of episodes where the point is for him to learn a Valuable Lesson. From the first season, Future Vision, Winter Forecast, Secret Team, and Open Book all count.

And there are plenty where he messes up or needs to be saved at some point throughout the story. Serious Steven, Joking Victim, and Steven the Sword Fighter all have some of this.

He gets a lot better at being smart and thoughtful over the course of the series. It's honestly some really satisfying character development to watch.

What demon did you bribe? It's now 8 days since mine started and it still feels like I've been trampled by a fucking elephant.

10/10 wank bait, OP

You could approach your instructor(s) and inquire (non accusingly and without sneering at Pirates of Penzance) that you noticed you were assigned that instead of a more classical piece and you were wondering if there was anything particular about the piece you needed to pay attention to as you're learning it.

Nah, it was in Italy in an area that is apparently fine for nudity so he didn't break any laws. Was just kinda dumb of him lol

Justified: Spoilers for whole show

[personal profile] kaijinscendre 2016-09-01 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I finished the show.

Why did so many of the sort of sweet and stupid bad guys have to die? :( First poor Dewey Crowe. That dumb bastard just wanted to run a whorehouse and be left alone. Then Choo Choo who didn't want to be treated like a moron. Then poor Mike who in the end saved Wynn Duffy and wanted to die in Duffy's arms. (ಥ_ಥ)

Also, probably my favorite lines in the whole show.

Boyd: How you know I wasn't some Boy Scout looking for his tent?
Raylan: Your teeth glow in the dark.

The plot in season 6 got a bit convoluted. I really don't get why they had that whole subplot with the weird and creepy assassin dude. He was annoying.

Ava really started annoying me towards the end of the season. Like, just STOP. Stop and pay for your actions. Had this stopped in season 5, I would have wanted her to be as happy as could be. But she was just so aggravating in season 6. Also, how did she not notice that person taking a picture of her in a pumpkin patch? She was looking right at the camera and was the middle of the frame. I bet that kid of hers was born with a full set of giant teeth.

I did not expect Boyd to come out alive. I expected he would die in a fiery, explosive death. I'm not surprised he has become a crazy preacher man. I really do love the idea that Harlan stays with you all the time. I am surprised he never had a Moral Event Horizon moment.

All the goodbyes were great when Raylan left. They were all in character and sweet. ;_; I think Raylan's new hat is not nearly as good as the old one. The last conversation between Boyd and Raylan was fantastic.

"We dug coal together." :(

Of course not, but humans are capable of doing some things the way a cat does them. Rolling around in a warm spot in the sun, for example, or for a more human situation, rolling around in a warm cozy bed under soft blankets. Do you think that's an explicitly sexual act?

Ooh, semantics wank! This should be fun.

I completely agree with your sentiment about Alfre Woodard's character. I understand that Tony created Ultron, but I still feel as though her assessment of the whole thing was incredibly unfair. When people are trying to protect the ENTIRE WORLD from people who want to destroy it, there are unfortunate mistakes and unfortunate collateral damage.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-01 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Rolling around on someone =/= sex, though.

Almost every time he interferes with Sadie and Lars he's in the wrong.

Sweets?

(Anonymous) 2016-09-01 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you have a sweet tooth? What's your favorite sweet thing to eat or drink?

I think this is true of most action movies in general, including the Marvel movies. It's probably got to do with how movies are made... those big action sequences cost so much money that the need to be obsessively planned out for the greatest effect, so sometimes a film feels like 3-4 big action sequences held together by weaker connecting bits.

Oh no, that sucks a lot :( :(

(Anonymous) 2016-09-01 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
How would you approach a man who self-identifies as gay who has a single woman that he wants to have sex with?

Would you insist that - no matter what he says - he's really biseuxal?

(Setting aside the fact that OP probably didn't mean "roll around" in a sexual sense)

Cry. A lot. Maybe there'll be another series of it?

Chocolate cake, walnut shortbread, and good fruit pies and crumbles. I'm also partial to New York style cheesecake and cream-filled eclairs. Can't beat a fresh glazed donut and black coffee either!

That is an excellent example.

I think I need a new doctor

(Anonymous) 2016-09-01 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Last year, my doctor (actually an NP) put me on birth control to deal with irregular periods. It seemed okay for a couple months, and then I got The Period From Hell. I mean FROM HELL: insanely heavy bleeding for a solid month, crazy pain, fever, exhaustion, the works. For a month I couldn't move around without blood clots going everywhere. It was disgusting and painful. On top of that, the BC started giving me daily migraines.

I told my NP, and she shrugged and switched me to a different birth control.

Six months later, I've just learned that I have ovarian cysts, and she told me, "If you experience any really heavy bleeding, especially with a lot of clots, or an unusual amount of pain or high fever, call us right away or go to the emergency room because that's a very serious sign." WHY DIDN'T YOU MENTION THAT WHEN I TOLD YOU ALL THOSE THINGS WERE HAPPENING?????

So....I should probably find a new doctor. But the EFFORT D: Plus, I'm moving out of the area in a year, so I'll probably just stick with this practice until then and go to specialists for the serious stuff. I just needed to rant >:(

Hmm.

NA

The fact that the secret poster wrote 'on' rather than 'with', along with the simile, made me assume that they meant it literally, rather than idiomatically.
