Pretty good, pretty good. Kitten is snoozing under my bed right now. Boris, the older cat, is getting along with him pretty well! Hotspur has been enjoying exploring the downstairs.

We're gonna make some holiday cookies pretty soon. Gotta go get more parchment paper first though.

It's okay. I procrastinated too long on getting a holiday gift for someone so I'm going to have to go out probably tomorrow evening...not looking forward to that...still don't know what to get either. I wish I had a cat with me. The tree looks pretty.

Fucking terrible. I hate sucking at overwatch. I was doing so well before, but now I'm on a losing streak of several hours. I honestly can't tell if it's my teammates, or if it's me that's worthless at gaming?

Watched bar lecture. Went to the animal shelter and played with kitties. There was one I really wanted to take home because he wanted to climb all over me, and then he sat on my chest and purred. And followed me around while I mopped and stuff. Then I came home and took a nap. Now I'm going to pack because our flight is at 6:30 AM tomorrow. Heading to New Hampshire for Christmas. I also need to get my Tolkien Secret Santa fic done today.

My day's been good. Mostly pretty lazy. Sort of taking care of a few Christmas/end of year things, I guess. Also trying to figure out what to do for some side dishes I'm in charge of for Christmas dinner.

The other main issue in my life is wishing that people on the Internet would stop being funny and charming and cute so I wouldn't get crushes on them

I had a friend who was, for many years, my closest friend. Then he stopped talking to me as often as he used to because he was busy, then he moved to another state and despite promising to keep in touch, basically dropped all contact. I would try and text or skype him, and he rarely responded. Sometimes he would, and would always be cheerful, but never started conversations on his own. Eventually I gave up. About a year passed, and then like a month ago he texted me asking me how I was doing. We talked like, 3 times after that, and then he mentioned they were visiting family for christmas and we should hang out when they're in the state.

And honestly, I don't want to. I feel like they ditched me. He made a lot of new friends when he moved, and posts about them on facebook and twitter all the time, and I don't want to feel like some shitty back up friend for when he can't be with them. But also he was seriously my closest friend for so long, and I don't have many friends. I bought him a christmas present because I always have, so I need to give it to him, but I'm still so hurt I don't know what to do when we hang out. But then I keep thinking, what gives me the right to feel this way? I must have done something wrong if he didn't want to keep talking to me? But why didn't he tell me if I did? And loop feelings back.
