I'm not religious in any sense of the word, but I still really like reading things relating to it.

95% of all fic is crap anyways. Also, it's called Stargate, lol. It's OVERRUN WITH "OMFGZ THE JOHN/RODNEY SHOW YAYZ BUTTSEXXORS".

Anyways, Go check out Domenika Marzione a.k.a Miss Porcupine's fiction (http://www.offpanel.net/dmz/sga.html), it's awesome and is good non slash-buddy replacement of Teyla&Ronon Lorne fic.

You read Stargate fanfiction and you think 95% of it is crap?

1 - I agreed. Shoujo manga messes with your perceptions. The entire premise of shoujo manga is that it's fantasy, b/c real relationships don't go that way. But a lot of girls start reading it too young to figure that out. It's worse than the Disney problem, I tell ya.

2 - I loved their angst WAY more than their making up. In fact, I hated that panel you showed. I was like, "Where was his huge self-realization?" It just didn't seem up to CLAMP's usual standards for me.

7 - I think she's a bitch too, but that's more to do with the fact that she's so unable to see another view point. I mean, she's consistently pretending to like Kira when she's really thinking evilly about him behind his back. But yeah, I see your point about Kira using her too.

13 - Roy/Ed is one of my fav OTPs, but siriusly, Roy/Hughes is hot. Although, I think it would never happen b/c Hughes is straight and loves his family too much. Still. HAWT.

17 - Don't let it get you too depressed. A lot of people don't like the sqeuaky voices of J-Pop singers. I've heard a few great renditions of J-Pop songs done in alto, and even by guys, and I don't think it's that big of a deal. Plus, altos aren't as common in that fandom, so maybe you could start a revolution! ^_^*

20 - That image haunted me for months after I saw it. My sister atcually refused to read anymore and had nightmares about it. :P Personally, I like CLAMP's gorier stuff. It adds a lot of drama and can produce incredibly visceral reactions.

30 - Yeah, well, look at me. I just wrote a 19 page paper on homosexuality in Harry Potter for my final in a graduate course, and I wrote the ENTIRE thing in between around 10 am and 7 pm on the day it was due. The class started at 7 pm. I got there an hour late. The lesson? No fan who is intelligent uses their intelligence for anything other than fandom. Oh well. :P

32 - I just can't take that seriously. But it's made of win anyway. :D

37 - And the black characters that do show up tend to really suck. It's not a great thing at all, but I have talked to people who state they prefer the lack of any non-white/asian characters. I don't agree, but if it makes you happy, why not.

38 - I cannot believe this. She creeped me the heck out. Ugh.

59 - Are you for real? B/c if so, wow. I mean, I've gotten into heated arguments over ships, but never killed someone. You totally win over me. And also, fail at the same time.

64 - I absolutely HATE it when people who you know don't comment on your fics when you leave great comments on theirs. SO ANNOYING.

66 - OMG Beauty Pop ROCKS!

68 - I cannot even picture Jesus in a yaoi relationship, but thanks for the hot picture of Dean! ^_^* Dean/Sam OTP!!

69 - Hm. I never thought of it like this.

Thank you, because I totally interpreted that as "I'd rather have no black characters than stereotypes like this picture" but everyone else seems to think they're a troll. And I've heard PoC fans express that about western comics as well as anime—they roll their eyes when the stereotype shows up.

50. I don't understand. Which kind of fanbrats? Does writing about Lorne automatically make one a "fanbrat?"

54. Well, gee, I guess I should just stop watching British shows right now, because I'm Canadian and, hey, that practically makes me a Yankee.

Yeah, but most of our shows suck. :(

Also, you're making the assumption on how every single American watches/interprets Doctor Who, and you're simply wrong. You're being just as bad as any person who thinks "all Welsh boys are gay like Ianto".

17 OMG really? I would KILL to have an alto singing voice! As a musician, I seriously think altos are much sexier, they're rarer, and tend to have more skill (mainly because I think noobs who are altos and not sopranos decide they can't sing because they can't sing high? So when you know someone is an alto, you can assume they've enough sense to know a bit of what they're doing).

I am so sorry that your fandom situation means you feel out of place with the singing voice you have, but please don't feel too bad about it. Those of us with good singing voices who are sopranos might just be jealous of your ability to stand out in the crowd, and you just don't know it :)

23 I never thought of it this way. For me, I used to use all my own icons but then I realized I could contribute to fandom in ways I was better at, and decided to reward the people in fandom who ARE good at icons by using theirs. Maybe that's a better way to look at it, I don't know.

07. I don't appreciate what she did, but I can see that it stemmed from the hardship she had to endure during the war. Plus the dramatic influence of her father. Either way though, I no longer hate her. She grew a lot through out the series, especially at its end.

23: I think it's kinda unfair to hate on users that don't make their own icons. I only have MS Paint, as I cannot afford Photoshop or am just too dumb to be able to find it cheap, and the GIMP refuses to make any sense to me. I'd kill to make my own, but I have no means of doing so.

70: I kinda do have my own Conrad. It's not so great, really. She's a good friend, but she makes me feel SO inferior. ;__;.

17. They're not uber-sopranos, half of J-pop artists can't really sing anyway. They scream, and they all sound the same. I have exactly the same problem you do, in that I have a much lower chest range than most girls.

Don't worry about it too much. You probably have better technique than half of the Japanese singers. Ever wonder why most of them lip-synch? Yeah.
