It's interesting to note, OP, that all but one of the other Klavier RPers you put in your secret are 'older' (aged 24) versions. From what we can see in the game, Klavier at 17 is quite different from him at 24--and this should be reflected in how he is played.

And there's no such thing as 'deserving' a role-- there are stronger writers and people who are still learning, but so long as you pass the character application we're ultimately all together and all after the same goals: to have a good time and to improve in our RPing.

Actually one of them is a 16 year old Klavier, and is absolutely the best young Klavier I've read. Don't be let down, some people just have preferences. I didn't quite like the way you wrote Klavier at that age at all because of the random German, but if you have a reason for it and can work it out, keep doing it?

Not trying to start wank here, Croik, but indulge me if you will. You're one of the most amazing writers in the PW fandom. You roleplay a wicked Kristoph, and I'm a fan. Gef was never that good anyway, from the very beginning. I followed gyakusai_rp for a while and his playing horrified me.

I guess all I'm trying to say is that while it's great you play for your fun and all and who you like playing with, it's kind of strange you weren't helping them improve their characterization at all, and it's possibly the reason why a lot of players who put in effort to do their characters as recognizably as they can are a bit wtf over gef's acceptance. You know what I mean? Especially in a popular rp like gyakusai. It's like watching a TV show and then finding out the parody character of a canon character is considered canon.

I have a pirated version of photoshop on my computer. I use it for basic functions like cropping and macro-making, and occasionally removing a watermark. Why? Because that's all I'm capable of. I have essentially no visual artistic talent. I could go and labour for hours and hours with it, and in the end I'd emerge with some icons that look sorta decent, but nowhere near as good as icons made by people who are actually good at it. Or, you know, I could take awesome icons as I see them, and add them to my repetoire.

When I select an icon for a comment or post, I'm not thinking about who I'll impress with it. I'm thinking of how that icon matches the tone of the comment or post, how well it works with it, etc. So, basically, icons are not a dick-measuring contest. Good night.

I lol'd. XD But amen to this! I have Photoshop and know how to maneuver, and am learning how to make better icons after like... a forever of sucking at it. Just because I can make mediocre icons doesn't mean I have some obligation to never use anyone else's if I, yanno, like them better. I'm not claiming that I made them.

It'd be like telling a writer that they're no longer allowed to buy anyone else's books, because someone might walk in their house and assume all the novels on their bookshelf are ones they wrote, and obviously that's just a cry for praise an attention. And I can't be the only one who doesn't find it difficult to tell when icons are made by different people, in a lot of cases, right?
